Feb. 18—The Washington, D.C. demonstration Sunday, Feb. 19—“Rage Against the War Machine”—organized by many co-sponsors from all points on the spectrum, has gathered momentum, which is evident not simply in the expected multi-state attendance, but in the attention across the U.S. and internationally, to act to stop the Global NATO confrontationist push, now at the point of threatening nuclear conflagration. From the speakers, to the crowds, people are responding, based on a common understanding of the threat and urgency. There are extreme differences among those mobilizing, but all share the view that stopping nuclear war is incontestably the priority.
Feb. 15—While there will be multiple shifts of the international political terrain in the next 72 hours, Saturday’s Schiller Institute Conference, “100 Seconds to Midnight on the Doomsday Clock: We Need A New Security Architecture!”, subsumes those momentary shifts in the tactical landscape. As Executive Intelligence Review founder Lyndon LaRouche, once, in a different but comparable circumstance observed, “the world has entered a transitional period in which old habits of judgment and orientation are useless and even contraindicated for practical evaluation of most of the emerging phenomena of the strategic and national-tactical developments. For this reason, very few persons in the world…are intellectually pre-trained to understand those processes which will be decisive in determining the outcome of this immediate several weeks and months directly before us.”Conflicting stories will no doubt appear in the next hours and days — assuming there are next hours and days — as to what is occurring, or will occur, in the various negotiations involving Germany, France, Ukraine, the United States, and Russia. Whatever its origin, the predator notion that “the fundamental organizing principle of society is for war” should not be allowed to become, at any time, the “organizing principle” of the foreign policy of the United States. A British-dominated United States, an unacceptable condition which has emphatically been the case since the 1991 collapse of the Soviet Union, must be replaced by a citizenry that re-establishes the true identity of this nation by bringing it into collaboration with Russia, China, India, and other nations based on the American Revolution’s founding documents, including Hamilton’s Four Reports On Economics, advanced by Lyndon LaRouche in his Four Laws proposal. Former French Secretary Roland Dumas, who was a central figure in the post-1989 negotiations involving NATO and the Soviet Union, has left no doubt in his recent Les Crises interview, available on Youtube, that he, James Baker, and other Western representatives had in fact pledged to Russia that NATO would not expand eastward: “…In reality, we realized — Gorbachev, myself and President Mitterrand at the time— that there was no peace treaty to put an end to the war with Germany, and that, therefore, it was necessary to put an end to that unstable situation. That’s the reason we devised, with my friend Hans-Dietrich Genscher, the German Minister of Foreign Affairs, to engage in talks over every shortcoming, since there hadn’t been any peace treaty…. We had meetings in London, meetings in Paris, and, lastly, in Moscow, to bring the last piece of the global agreement together, in the presence of Gorbachev….” As to the later discussion concerning the disposition of NATO forces after a Warsaw Pact withdrawal from Central Europe, Dumas recounted: “The Minister of Foreign Affairs (Shevernadze) spoke and said: ’We, the Russian delegation want to know what will happen to NATO’S armaments as part of the disarmament.” Dumas said that the Russian delegation stated two demands. First, that the monuments to Soviet soldiers who fought against fascism in World War Two be maintained and respected. “Secondly, for troops from both the Warsaw Pact and NATO to make a commitment that there will not be movement of NATO troops into the Warsaw Pact regions that were about to be disarmed…. Gorbachev spoke, Shevardnadze spoke, I spoke. And I put forward the idea that [NATO military] forces must not move into formerly militarized regions.” Dumas stated that the Americans and the Germans agreed with this. “Before [German Foreign Minister] Genscher died, I asked him if he remembered this discussion. He answered; ‘Perfectly.’” At the Malta summit on December 3, 1989, less than one month after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Bush and Gorbachev had “declared the end of the Cold War.” No eastward expansion was to occur. Now, NATO, expanded from 15 nations in 1989, to 30 nations, and seeking to make Ukraine #31 in violation of this earlier promise, stands poised on the Russian border, with the possibility of strategic miscalculation leading to total war higher than at any time since, and perhaps including,1962’s Cuban Missile Crisis. The purpose of Executive Intelligence Review magazine, and the special method LaRouche created to inform the evaluative process of intelligence gathering that he required of his associates, is to encourage that all “self-evident” assumptions governing the “day-to-day” thinking of the citizen, be removed and replaced with a method of formulating the necessary policies, programs, and cooperation for the durable survival and prosperity of all. This is the essence of a sane economic, and therefore a sane security policy. Discussing this method, and proposing such a new security architecture, is the purpose of Saturday’s conference, which all lovers of truth should participate in.
The facts speak for themselves. The British and American governments are deliberately and knowingly allowing Netanyahu’s Israel to commit war crimes in full view of the entire planet, crimes so heinous they are a moral blot on all humanity, and lead us to cry out.

That even the relatively uneventful meeting between Presidents Biden and Putin in Geneva can accurately be hailed as a step forward, speaks to the absolutely terrible situation the world is in. Hu Xijin, the editor-in-chief of Global Times, expressed it in a tweet: “The meeting itself sends a strong signal. Both want to end the worst period of U.S.-Russian relations post-Cold War. At the very least, achieve low-level stability in their bilateral ties and avoid new uncontrollable conflicts. And this is probably the only product of the meeting.” Our aspirations must be so much greater!How can our efforts benefit from the powerful positive example of China (and Chinese-Russian collaboration) and in breaking through the censorial thought-control that has come to increasingly dominate both the legacy media and the social media of the trans-Atlantic world? The Shenzhou-12 rocket has brought three astronauts to the Chinese Space Station’s core module, Tianhe, in a happy step in China’s continued development of its space capacity—as the International Space Station reaches the end of its life. It appears that great dreams cannot be derailed by such petty (and short-sighted) actions as banning Chinese purchase of certain microchips or the 2011 Wolf Amendment banning NASA from collaborating with China on manned space projects. As Biden—and the press hyenas—harass Vladimir Putin about his grave assault on freedom, recent shocking revelations in the United States provide a potential flank to blast the burgeoning attempts at truly dictatorial control over media, communication, and thought. Those revelations center on evidence of the involvement of the FBI and other federal agencies in the events of Jan. 6. Not only were plans to storm the Capitol well known to intelligence—which could have increased security to counter them—but the plans appear to have been promoted by these federal agents! Revolver News has revealed, through analysis of charging documents, the existence of at least 20 unindicted co-conspirators—likely FBI or other agents or sources—intimately involved in the events of Jan. 6. Put this in historical context. Just a few months earlier, a dozen people were accused of plotting to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer—among the purported plotters were no fewer than five federal agents or sources, who, far from passively infiltrating a plot in process, actively advanced it! This is in keeping with the FBI’s modus operandi, put into overdrive with the beginning of the Global War on Terror, of participating in (through undercover agents and sources) and driving supposedly heinous acts of terrorism deftly and heroically foiled by the upstanding men and women of the FBI itself. Helga Zepp-LaRouche warned on Jan. 9 that the storming of the Capitol had to be seen in this context, writing: "There is every reason to believe that the assault on the Capitol is a direct continuation of the 9/11 attacks, the real masterminds of which have never really been named. Lyndon LaRouche had presciently predicted this terrorist act nine months earlier, on January 3, 2001, by predicting that the Bush Administration, which would take office three weeks later, would stage a ‘Reichstag Fire’ incident due to its inability to deal with the coming financial meltdown, as a pretext to implement dictatorial measures. This is exactly what happened with the introduction of the ‘Patriot Act’…. In the same fashion, the riot at the Capitol is intended to provide the pretext to eliminate any dissent towards the policies of the neoliberal establishment…. “The alarm bells must ring for all people who hold dear the constitutional state, freedom of expression, and civil rights. Victories far greater for humanity than a civil discussion between the presidents of the two most powerfully nuclear armed nations lie in store!
While the Biden cabinet continues to rant against an imagined Russian intention to invade Ukraine, and while Russia, China and Iran continue to be painted by European and American political and media pundits as evil villains out to destroy the freedom and prosperity of the Western world, there is a mounting backlash emerging against the madness, from leading figures and average citizens as well.Start with the lead story in every media outlet, every day and every hour, for the past two months: “Russia has amassed over 100,000 troops, tanks and related military hardware on the Ukraine border in preparation for an invasion, stealing freedom and democracy from the heroic Ukrainian people.” But let’s hear what the Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksiy Reznikov has to say about this supposedly existential danger: “The situation on the Ukrainian-Russia border at this time is no different from what it was in the spring of last year. Now there are no significant actions or phenomena.” Even Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy told the U.S. to stop shouting that war is imminent, that it is a “mistake.” But don’t make the mistake of concluding that this means there is no chance for a war between two nuclear powers, threatening civilization itself. As EIR Economics Editor Paul Gallagher proves in the current issue of EIR, the war is being driven by the onrushing collapse of the Western financial system (see: “The U.S.-NATO Hidden War Threat: The Green New Deal”), not by the imagined “aggression” by Russia, China or Iran. Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl, in a very polemical manner, ridiculed the war hysteria which is based on thin air: The war threat in Ukraine, she said, “is a picture that emerges but does not quite correspond to reality—it is a reality that the media have manufactured…. The British in particular are jumping into the breach,” while “more and more weapons and even troops from NATO countries” are being shipped into Ukraine, despite the mass destruction that would hit all of Europe if war were to break out. Now look at Iran, where the Biden Administration has refused to reverse the dangerous and imbecilic scrapping of the 2015 JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) nuclear agreement with Iran, which was abdicated by the Trump Administration in 2018. Lt. Gen. Gadi Eizenkot, the chief of staff of the Israeli Defense Forces from 2015 to 2019, told Al-Monitor that then-Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu had conspired with his Mossad chief to pressure the Trump Administration to scrap the Iran deal, without even consulting the Israeli military as to the consequences. Eizenkot not only asserted that the result was Iran’s expanded enrichment of uranium, bringing them closer to a nuclear weapon capacity, but that Iran had done so “with legitimacy,” since the JCPOA allowed them to do so when the U.S broke its agreement. The madness of the British and American threats and war preparations, said Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche today, are “no different in mentality than the troglodytes, killing their neighbors with stones—except now they have nuclear weapons.” The Anglo-American war party does not intend to “compete” in the new multipolar world, in which China and Russia are now “near peer” powers to the declining trans-Atlantic nations. Rather, they imagine that they can stop the rise of China and Russia through sabotage, financial warfare, and the hideous “sanctions” policies. A “senior administration official” who briefed the press anonymously on Jan. 25 regarding the intended sanctions to be imposed on Russia, did not hide this illegal and immoral fact: the intention, he said, is to “hit Putin’s strategic ambitions to industrialize his economy quite hard.” This is clearly also the policy toward China, where the Biden Administration has refused to drop the destructive sanctions imposed by the Trump Administration against Huawei and many other Chinese companies (in fact, the Biden team has increased such sanctions), using political means to sabotage the economic development of China. As Zepp-LaRouche noted, this is the exact opposite of the Peace of Westphalia, the foundation of the modern nation-state, in which sovereign nations respect the sovereignty of others. But the backlash is growing. Americans, who have been drawn into manufactured debates over such things as vaccines, climate, and party politics, while the economy is exploding and the world is “sleepwalking into thermonuclear World War III,” increasingly recognize that the world is descending into chaos, and they are looking for answers. Those answers were always there, in the form of Lyndon LaRouche’s Four Laws, but were hidden from the population by the illegal prosecution of LaRouche and the blackout of his ideas, by the same corrupt institutions and individuals who brought us to this sorry state of affairs. Despite the constant media hype and pressure to conform, the world will little note the arguments among all the power brokers and “influencers” at the ongoing G20 and climate summits, about whether they’re succeeding or failing in their evil and incomprehensible objective of sacrificing the human species to “the planet.”We will rather be stirred by the real and urgent need to save human lives, and to better lives, in the crises those summiteers create, but refuse to discuss! The city in Romania, Timosoara, which has had all electric power cut off because it could not pay carbon taxes to the EU, must get it back. Most people facing this Winter amid a hyperinflation of costs of energy and shelter will not be moved by what the global temperature will be in 80 years, but by whether we can save and improve the lives of the least of us, now. The G20 summit, fixated on “climate change” and lacking the critical input of the Chinese and Russian presidents, undertook no action to change the desperately urgent situation of the people of Afghanistan—punished because the war there did not end satisfactorily to NATO. The huge but failing two-week Glasgow Climate Summit will not even discuss Afghanistan, or Haiti, though their collapses are dangers to the world as well as threatening the loss of human lives in the millions. What will move people most are powerful ideas about what can be done to redeem our immortal species, what forceful and creative actions can be taken “not because they are easy, but because they are hard.” Such is Schiller Institute president Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s “Operation Ibn Sina,” to catalyze the action to rebuild Afghanistan, by identifying it with its native son who was the world’s leading medical authority for centuries—when today, nearly all its hospitals have closed in destitution. Such is the Schiller Institute design for economic development of Haiti, at last, after two centuries of neglect and worse. And such is the New Bretton Woods plan inherited from Lyndon LaRouche, for the United States, Russia, China and India to end this hyperinflationary breakdown by launching a new international credit system based on FDR’s design. There is a concept in U.S. law known as “depraved indifference.” It refers to the principle that a person is accountable—for trial and punishment, if they stand by while terrible harm befalls an innocent, vulnerable person. Cases of conviction usually involve one or a few people, who could care less whether another lives or dies. But today, we see depraved indifference to suffering and death on a mass scale, which could be prevented.On the “humanitarian” side, we see, for example, the deadly consequences from continuing the economic sanctions the U.S. now has on more than 30 countries, most for extended periods, including Yemen, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba, and more. And the enforced lack of economic development continues, while the City of London/Wall Street networks rule. In Afghanistan, the refusal of U.S. financial institutions to lift their freeze on that nation’s assets, amounts to an order to shut that country down, and cause mass death amidst chaos, and the pandemic and famine. On the “military” side, we see the creation of AUKUS—Australia, United Kingdom, U.S.A. military bloc, part of the exertion of “Global Britain,” which also portends deadly consequences through confrontation against China and Russia, and deadly armament. Exemplifying the crisis, we have the current, terrible drama of Haitians and their homeland. Today U.S. authorities began a mass expulsion of Haitian refugees from Texas, airlifting them back to Haiti. As of this weekend, there were more than 12,000 migrants, mostly Haitians, camped in miserable conditions under and near the international bridge in Del Rio, Texas, who came across the Rio Grande from Ciudad Acuna, Mexico. Today, three flights landed 320 migrants back in Port-au-Prince; on Sept. 21, six more flights are expected to arrive there. All told, since Sept. 17, Friday, 3,300 migrants have been removed by plane, or to U.S. detention centers, from Del Rio. Within a day, another 3,000 are expected to be expelled; and all of the migrants removed by next weekend. Mexico, too, intends to begin deportations. These migrants are not displaced just since the Aug. 14 earthquake hit Haiti, but many of them fled years back, after the January 2010 earthquake, and in the hard years since, of no build-up of their nation. Some 4 million people need food in Haiti just to survive, out of their 10 million people, and there are others in need across the islands and territories of 44 million people in the Caribbean Basin. Add to that the dislocation and want in the littoral from Venezuela to Central America. Today, David Beasley, head of the World Food Program, was in Falcon State, Venezuela, to see to the WFP children’s school lunch project, a lifeline for thousands here and millions around the world. Beasley is appealing for emergency funding for the WFP in Haiti, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and for relieving, then ending hunger everywhere. That really means for starting economic development. It is depraved indifference not to understand that. “Can ‘The West’ Learn?” is the pertinent question headlining the Sept. 5 statement by Schiller Institute chairwoman Helga Zepp-LaRouche, focused on Afghanistan, and calling for learning the lessons of the deadly error of prolonged war in Afghanistan. ("Can ‘The West’ Learn? What Afghanistan Needs Now!") But her question applies generally. Can the West learn? Development is the name for peace. It also is the name for stability, justice, security, survival and the future. Last week on Sept. 14 the UN General Assembly began for its 76th session in New York City, and the General Debate period of high-level debates by heads of state or government or foreign ministers runs from Sept. 21-25, and Sept. 27. The Zepp-LaRouche statement will be in circulation, plus another Schiller Institute statement is in the works. In addition, an outline program for development in Haiti will be released in 10 days. Now is the time to join the mobilization.
Nov. 24, 2023—The Sunday Humanity For Peace Emergency Forum, “No More War Crimes!! Economic Development, Not Depopulation!!” will occur as the four-day Gaza ceasefire begins to draw to a close. Friday’s actions by the Prime Ministers of Spain and Belgium in confronting Netanyahu directly in calling for, not only an end to the killing, but also a Palestinian state, and immediate negotiations to stop the violence, are the first public major break from within NATO with the ethnic cleansing policy that has already made northern Gaza unlivable, and has already wiped out generations of Palestinians killed by retributive justice and collective punishment. Beside Egyptian President El-Sisi’s call for the same thing, his remarks, that he would be prepared to accept a demilitarized Palestinian state, secured by international guarantors, and that “we will not permit the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. I sensed a genuine and real understanding by the international community on our rejection of the displacement issue,” show that the seed-crystal of a new security and development architecture could in fact emerge right now, by forcing the world to assert the universal, inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all people, for which the Schiller institute has stood from its 1984 founding document, Declaration of the Inalienable Rights of Man.
Aug. 17—Were the events of January 6, 2021—and the four years leading into it—an exercise in regime change within the United States? While Trump is certainly no Lyndon LaRouche or Abraham Lincoln, what was the potential represented by his administration that demanded years of Russiagate, two phony impeachments, and now an over-the-top FBI raid on his home?

Circles of the “Collective West” are perpetrating lies, military force, and provocation even to the point of triggering nuclear holocaust, and at the same time conducting financial warfare, and practices promoting economic breakdown, including for their own populations.
Oct. 13—The nation of China, in consultation with the nation of Brazil, currently presiding as United Nations Security Council head, has proposed that “the UN has the responsibility and obligation to play its due role on the Palestinian question,” and that China “supports the Security Council in holding an emergency meeting on the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, agrees that the meeting should focus on humanitarian concerns, demand a ceasefire, an end to violence and the protection of civilians, form a binding international consensus and take concrete next steps.”
The United States has, as of Wednesday January 27, 2001, officially entered into the process of Green Finance, the “Great Reset” launched by Prince Charles, former Bank of England chief Mark Carney, BlackRock’s Larry Fink, and others, which is self- evidently a policy for mass-depopulation of the human race, at home and abroad. The Executive Order signed by the faux president, Joe Biden, “Executive Order on Tackling the Climate Crisis at Home and Abroad,” repeats several times, in different contexts, that the Administration will “immediately begin to develop a climate finance plan, making strategic use of multilateral and bilateral channels and institutions, to assist developing countries in implementing ambitious emissions reduction measures, protecting critical ecosystems, building resilience against the impacts of climate change, and promoting the flow of capital toward climate-aligned investments and away from high-carbon investments.” This will in fact “assist developing countries” to give up any hope of escaping from poverty, while imposing a level of austerity in the midst of a pandemic and famine which will cause millions of deaths in the short term.Most developing countries have grossly inadequate health systems. Most lack dependable electricity, even in the major cities, or have no electricity at all in large portions of their nations. The same is true for clean water. What little electricity they have is almost entirely from coal-fired power plants. Helga Zepp-LaRouche, the chairwoman of the Schiller Institute, has launched a “Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites” to mobilize the resources—the health community, the military, and the agricultural community—within the United States and other nations, to provide an adequate health capacity for all the nations on Earth, both for moral reasons and for the obvious fact that defeating the pandemic requires defeating it everywhere. It is also self-evident that to have such an adequate health capacity also requires access to uninterrupted electricity, clean water, transportation, and other infrastructure. If the Executive Order prepared for Biden is implemented, none of this will be possible, and the dream of Prince Philip and his Malthusian son Charles for depopulating the Earth will be realized. It will also signal that the dream of the British Empire since the 18th Century—to retake control of the upstart republic in the Americas—will have been finally accomplished. Nor is this only a death sentence for poor countries—the Executive Order demands a “carbon pollution-free electricity sector no later than 2035” for the US.
