Humanity For Peace is proud to announce that on this occasion, August 6, 2023, an international rally will be held to remind the world that nuclear war should never be fought and can never be won. Humanity is better than that, and we must reject the destiny of inevitable war as a morally repugnant and horribly cynical view. |
Speakers: Harley Schlanger, Janice Kortkamp, Ray McGovern, Cliff Kiracofe |
Dec. 31—“There are sayings around the Kennedy Center, carved above the marble above the colonnades when you walk in. And on the back side toward the Potomac, there’s one; it’s a quote from President Kennedy that says: ‘I look forward to the day when America is no longer afraid of grace and beauty.’ And I thought immediately when he was shot, that that’s why he was shot. We are afraid of grace and beauty.”—Ramsey Clark, former U.S. Attorney General, quoted in the documentary “Citizen Clark” |
Dec. 10—The war threat situation is worsening by the day. It is epitomized by the ceremony at Omaha, Nebraska on Dec. 9, for the changeover of command of the U.S. Strategic Command. Present were the outgoing commander Adm. Charles Richard; the new commander Gen. Anthony Cotton; and Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin. They each held forth, as would Dr. Strangelove, on aspects of the “tripolar” nuclear situation with the U.S., Russia and China, and that the U.S. has to “compete successfully.” |
June 2—The most recent manifestation of empire has taken the form, since World War II, of an Anglo-American “special relationship” dedicated, especially since the fall of the Soviet Union, to ruling a unipolar world under its financial, cultural, and military control. |
While most people live under the delusion that nuclear war is not possible, the U.S.-NATO policy makers are preparing to fight one. |
Apr. 28—The April 26 multi-national military conclave at the U.S. Ramstein Air Base in Germany, and its follow-on, go way beyond Global NATO. It is an outright Global Imperium of the self-anointed, “rules-based,” would-be rulers of the world. |
April 20—The world’s leading finance ministers, central bankers, and private financiers gathered in Washington, D.C. the first three days of this week, for the annual spring meeting of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank. They admitted publicly that up to 1.7 billion people face a severe food crisis and hunger this year. They nodded sagely at reports that inflation of 50, 80, even 120% on food and energy products had exploded in Germany and across Europe, not to mention desperate South America. They concurred that the debt of low-income countries had become utterly unpayable and would be blowing out shortly. And they congratulated each other on their scorched-earth sanctions with which they intend to wipe Russia—and any and all other rebellious nations—off the face of the Earth. |
April 17—As we move forward from the achievements of the April 9 Schiller Institute conference, we rightly also look back for further sustenance, clarity, and courage for the battles that lie immediately ahead in these most troubled of times. |
April 14—Less than a week has passed since the Schiller Institute international conference—“For a Conference to Establish a New Security and Development Architecture for All Nations,” whose participation and level of discussion signify that humanity can survive today’s crises of existence that we face in the form of nuclear war danger, economic breakdown, and cultural degradation. What is critical is building the momentum to get out the truth and policies in the common interest. |
April 12—The durable survival of humanity, in a condition of joyous and thriving growth, demands, immediately, that the guiding paradigm of the Anglo-American elite — through institutions financial, environmental, military, academic, and propagandistic — be immediately replaced with a new paradigm in coherence with the true nature of mankind as the only known species capable of creative reason. |
April 10—Thousands of people from five continents and from at least 65 countries participated in the live broadcast of the Schiller Institute’s conference on Saturday, April 9, “For a Conference to Establish a New Security and Development Architecture for All Nations,” and thousands more are watching it in the archive. |
April 8—On this morning of the Schiller Institute Conference To Establish a New Security and Development Architecture for All Nations, consider the situation that confronts the citizen of the trans-Atlantic world today, and the citizens of any nation confronted with the moral and intellectual decline of the policy-making establishments of the trans-Atlantic world. |
April 6—In addition to their ongoing “controlled disintegration” of the world physical economy, the British are now carrying out a “controlled demolition” of the existing international institutional architecture, because it is getting in the way of their Brave New World. |
April 4—Our world is under the immediate existential threat of generalized warfare and economic destruction affecting billions of people, including the possibility of nuclear war, and thus the possible annihilation of the human species. It is therefore extremely urgent to establish a new “Security and Development Architecture for All Nations,” which must take into account the interest of every single nation on the planet. |
April 1—Helga Zepp-LaRouche was interviewed on CGTN’s broadcast “The Dialogue” this morning with host Xu Qinduo and a second guest Prof. John Gong, who frequently appears on CGTN’s shows. The discussion was on the EU-China meeting by videoconference today, which included President Xi Jinping (in what Xinhua dubbed “Xiplomacy”) and EU Council President Charles Michel and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. |
April 1—There is a new system emerging throughout the world. It is not actually in reaction to the “Ukraine/Russia conflict, or any other” current events." It, if successful, will have the form of neither “multipolarity” or “unipolarity.” |
March 31—The futile attempt to maintain the presumedly unipolar world of the last three decades could lead only to civilization-ending nuclear warfare, with green-tinged destruction of the physical economy along the way. Although that is the path that the Anglo-American establishment appears to have committed itself to, it is a course that increasing portions of the world are abandoning — in thought, and in action. |
March 30—How, then, should we go about organizing our fellow citizens and those of other nations, under conditions where the world is facing the very real possibility of thermonuclear war; where it is already descending into a physical-economic meltdown unseen since the 14th-century New Dark Age; and where most about us are gripped by a pessimism which numbs their concern for humanity—and for themselves? |
The developments of 2022 to date have made it abundantly clear that Lyndon LaRouche’s forecasts over the last half-century, about the unavoidable breakdown crisis of the post-Bretton Woods floating exchange-rate financial system, were shockingly accurate. |
March 29—The release this week of the Schiller Institute’s policy document, “The LaRouche Plan for a New International Economic Architecture,” comes in the midst of the terrible danger of escalation to nuclear war, but also at a time of great promise, given that there is a worldwide re-ordering process underway, of nations demanding development. |
March 27 (EIRNS)—The Atlanticists are operating under the delusion that their world order can be maintained—that instrumentalized phrases like “democracy” and “freedom” will continue to hold sway; that the financialization of the economy can be continued; that the “rules-based order” can keep its grip on the world; that the nations of the world will obediently attach the chains of zero-growth green ideology; that impulses towards a multipolar order can be crushed or co-opted; that change is impossible. |
March 26—Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov told an audience in Moscow on March 25 that the U.S., EU and NATO have already “declared a hybrid war, a ‘total war,’” on Russia, and noted that this was the term “used by Hitler’s Germany,” and is “now voiced by many European politicians when they talk about what they want to do with the Russian Federation.” |
March 25—The April 9 Schiller Institute international conference to Convoke A New Security and Development Architecture, and the organizing process which precedes it, can be a punctum saliens for the world. |
March 22—Bad news abounds! U.S. and NATO officials issue stern warnings of Russia’s supposedly imminent crossing of the “biological or chemical weapon attack” red line (of Iraq and Syria fame) — a red line designed as a trigger for military escalation. |
