Demand Congress to Investigate U.S. Funding of Ukraine Blacklist |
June 17—Riyadh, Saudi Arabia was the venue for the 10th Arab-China Business Conference last Tuesday, June 13, where the new president of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB), Dilma Rousseff, asserted that there is a process underway in the so-called Global South “towards reshaping the global economy and reducing dependency on a single currency.” She noted that this initiative “requires cooperation among countries, financial institutions and collaborative policies and organizations such as the Belt and Road Initiative, the New Development Bank and the Islamic Development Bank, to give a few examples.” |
Jan. 14, 2025 (EIRNS)—It is clear to all the world, and to all thinking Americans, that in this new year, we need something fundamentally new from the American Presidency. President-elect Donald Trump has made it clear that he intends to meet with President Vladimir Putin at the earliest possible date—but what will, or can, be discussed? “There is no substantive preparation yet, there is a declared understanding and political will, because such contacts would be very, very necessary and advisable. We will look further after the administration in Washington has changed,” said Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov. |
Jan. 17—“Established authorities” in politics, economics, history, and the generally-misnamed “social sciences” and other fields in the trans-Atlantic world are, and will remain, baffled, perplexed, dazed and confused about events on the battlefields of Ukraine, in the streets of Germany, in the caucuses of Iowa, and the courts at The Hague. None of their explanations would prepare them to even consider the idea that these are all projections of a field of universal change which is growing in power each time it is resisted. |
Feb. 6—The Schiller Institute conference, “The Age of Reason or the Annihilation of Humanity,” now transitions to a second phase. This will involve various forms of international actions, from demonstrations to “Zoom call teach-ins,” from letter-writing to lobbying. Most importantly, however, it will involve new, unexpected alliances, “coincidences of opposites” that will make people uncomfortable, in the way advocated by St. Paul: “Be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by renewing your mind.” |
July 1—What will be tomorrow’s current history? As things seem to stand at the moment, “tomorrow’s news” for the northern hemisphere, particularly the United States, Canada and Europe, has just been previewed in Australia, and is reported in the London Daily Mail. “Outrage as Australia’s energy crisis worsens with hospitals ordered to reduce electricity use and millions warned not to use appliances at night: ‘We’re rationing power like a 3rd world country.’” The Mail continues: “Australia’s energy crisis has deepened, with the National Electricity Market suspended, hospitals ordered to reduce electricity use and millions of people urged not to use basic appliances, despite the freezing winter weather…. The Tomago aluminum smelter in N.S.W. (New South Wales), the country’s biggest electricity user, was also forced to cut production to reduce the chance of a blackout.” |
Sept. 9, 2024 (EIRNS)—Is the ongoing, meaningful diplomatic progress towards peace enough to change the governments of the Anglo-American NATO nations? |
Mike Billington interviews Col. Richard H. Black (ret.) on the Ukraine Center for Countering Disinformation board hit list, the Ukraine war and his thoughts about the Schiller Institute's role in today's crisis. |
March 26—It is genocide, says the United Nations Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in the Occupied Palestinian Territories Francesca Albanese. She spoke from Geneva yesterday, regarding the systematic mass-killing campaign now being conducted by the Israel Defense Forces, under orders from the Netanyahu regime, and subsidized and fortified by the weapons, money, and influence of Great Britain, the United States, and NATO. |
Sept. 5, 2024 (EIRNS)—The Friday, September 6 meeting #66 of the International Peace Coalition will expose to the people of the world, through the words and interventions of the participating international experts, and former members of the American military and intelligence establishment, that it is the United States and Great Britain, not Russia, China, or anyone else, who would both provoke and initiate thermonuclear war. In the words of Col. Larry Wilkerson, former chief of staff to Secretary of State Colin Powell and IPC meeting participant: “The most likely state owning nuclear weapons today, to use those nuclear weapons, again, is the United States. And we have put ourselves in that position, and in that posture, by our incompetence at the other skill-sets, most prominently diplomacy, necessary for the relations of nations.” |

April 28—The decomposing hand of the still-undead “Dirty Bertie” Bertrand Russell (1872-1968) seems to have authored Wednesday’s London Economist’s call for thermonuclear war with Russia. |
Dec. 17, 2024 (EIRNS)—Ambassador Chas Freeman gave an interview to Berliner Zeitung published Dec. 15, one of Germany’s leading newspapers. Ambassador Freeman, who knows as much about the American relationship to China as any living diplomat, told the truth “as he sees it.” “We’ve incentivized the Chinese to improve their science and technology, to expand trade relations with the Global South; we’ve driven them into the arms of the Russians, and we’re driving them to forge alliances in the Middle East that will roll back American influence in the region.” |

March 7, 2025 (EIRNS)—No one is saying for sure. On Friday, The Times of London says: “There is the prospect of a ‘deal in the desert,’ as it is already being billed in Whitehall, with Ukraine and the U.S. holding talks in Saudi Arabia on a potential ceasefire deal. That could be followed in short order by a joint trip to the White House by Zelenskyy, Starmer and President Macron of France. While there are no plans for the trip next week, the prime minister is ready to go at a moment’s notice.” So, French President Macron, British Prime Minister Starmer, and Ukrainian “servant of the people” Zelenskyy are planning, depending on the U.S./Ukraine discussions in Riyadh, on returning to Washington. All three were in the U.S. just over a week ago. Then, they each went to the White House one by one. Now, they are, tentatively, to return together, perhaps as an encore to Zelenskyy’s Feb. 28 White House engagement. Speaking of comedians, does anyone remember “The Three Stooges?” |
March 31—It is a truism that “death is a natural part of life”—but genocide is not. From Gaza to Haiti to Sudan, from Argentina to Egypt, Mankind is witnessing the intentional elimination of millions upon millions of human beings whose future contribution to humanity’s development is being snuffed out. Don’t look for explanations in the specific circumstances of each case—the gruesome bombings in Gaza; the satanic gangs in Port-au-Prince; the scorched earth Schachtian economic policies in Buenos Aires. |
March 13—Will the world survive the persistent epidemic of political mediocrities heading most Western governments? If you have become conditioned to accept small-minded and pathetic behavior from your leaders, is there a day of reckoning in your near future? |
July 18—Now is the time for the International Peace Coalition, and all right-thinking people worldwide, to intervene to expose and reverse the latest crime against humanity being committed in broad daylight by the NATO Death Lobby. |
Aug. 27—Consider first the following reports from Russia and China—the two nations designated by Western so-called “leaders” as “autocracies” which threaten “our values”—on ongoing national problem-solving. |
April 5— A month after the September 11, 2001, deadly attack on the United States, the War Hawks in the U.S. and the UK moved ahead with a plan to attack Iraq. According to an article published in the London Observer on October 14, U.S. intelligence had “a growing mass of evidence that Iraq’s President Saddam Hussein was involved” in the attacks. The article quoted an anonymous Bush administration official, who said that British Prime Minister Tony Blair, who was a leading advocate for a war against Iraq, is a “faithful ally” in the war on terror, and that if the intelligence assessment means that “we are embarking on the next Hundred Years’ War, then that’s what we are doing.” |

April 15, 2025 (EIRNS)—Both Presidential Special Envoy Steven Witkoff and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov are laboring mightily to attempt to normalize Russian-American relations. “President of the United States Donald Trump has said many times already that the decision by the Joe Biden administration to drag this country Ukraine into NATO was a major mistake," said Lavrov in an interview with Kommersant on April 14. Of his April 11 discussion with President Putin, Witkoff told Fox News:”I think we might be on the verge of something that would be very, very important for the world at large." |
Dec. 5—Is there such a thing as “American exceptionalism,” and if so, should there be? |
Nov. 1 -- At a CNN town meeting on October 21, President Joe Biden was asked if the U.S. would come to the aid of Taiwan, if it were attacked by China. His response -- "Yes, we have a commitment to do that" -- set off alarm bells, not only in Beijing, but within his administration, as a spokesman was quickly dispatched to walk back from that answer. But a week later, more bombshells went off, again on CNN, in an interview with Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen. She said she believes that the U.S. and other regional allies would come to the aid of Taiwan if it were attacked. Further, she confirmed the report that a "small unit" of U.S. Army special forces have been deployed on the island to train members of Taiwan's military. She added that while she thinks there can be peaceful relations with China, the threat from the mainland "is increasing every day", as it is becoming more aggressive.
