Dec. 28—Strategic stupidity has its consequences. By driving relentlessly for a showdown with Russia over NATO’s expansion into Ukraine, and with China over Taiwan’s independence, the financial Establishment holding the reins of power in the United States, the United Kingdom and the EU is decoupling the West from its only hope of long-term survival: a new international security and development architecture to get past the current breakdown crisis of the trans-Atlantic financial system.

Dec. 25—On Christmas Day, The LaRouche Organization sent the following message to all of its friends and supporters around the world:

Dec. 19,—A group of political and social leaders from around the world today issued an open letter to Pope Francis, supporting the Pope’s offer to use the venue of the Vatican for immediate negotiations between Russia and Ukraine for a diplomatic settlement of the war in Ukraine. Coming off an organizing process among current and former legislators that was initiated two months ago by the Schiller Institute, the open letter is part of a growing chorus of voices internationally urging an immediate ceasefire, a Christmas Truce for all, as a first step towards a full, negotiated peace.

Dec. 14—A former head of state from a Third World nation commented, in conversation with a Schiller Institute representative over the last 24 hours, that the already scary strategic situation has become “dangerously frightening” in the last few weeks. She added that what was most frightening was not the escalation of threats against Russia from Global NATO; nor even the more-than-sobering remarks by Vladimir Putin to a Bishkek press conference, where he spoke about the U.S. nuclear policy of preventive or disarming nuclear strikes: “Regarding a disarming strike, perhaps we should think about using the achievements of our U.S. partners and their ideas about how to ensure their own security. We are just thinking about this.”

Dec. 7—“I hope that you succeed. I hope you succeed!”

Those were the closing remarks by Vladimir Solovyov, host of “Solovyov Live,” Russia’s major TV talk show which is watched by millions, at the end of a 21-minute interview this morning with Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche. In the discussion, Zepp-LaRouche had warned that “we are already at a state of war between NATO and Russia, and many people in many countries are extremely worried that this may lead to nuclear war.” She asserted that such a war would mean the annihilation of civilization, and that “this is why I have suggested principles, 10 principles for a new international security and development architecture, which is drawing very much on the example of the Peace of Westphalia which ended 150 years of religious war in Europe. And I’m really fighting very hard to put this on the agenda before it is too late.”

Nov. 28—Time and time again, Lyndon LaRouche asserted in his writings and speeches that the reason that the United States was able to lead the Allies to victory in World War II, was because of logistics in depth: the immense capability of the American industrial physical economy, once reactivated by President Franklin Roosevelt’s anti-Wall Street, Hamiltonian policies, for sustained production of military and related capabilities that eventually overwhelmed the enemy.

Nov. 9—On the night of Nov. 8, as the elections in the United States were drawing to a close, Russia’s ambassador to Washington Anatoly Antonov posted an article on his Telegram channel which was a bucket of cold water which should draw every American up short. Antonov warned of the imminent danger of a direct clash between the nuclear superpowers, and called out the United States and NATO for using Kiev to “drag the United States and NATO directly into the conflict. To pit the nuclear powers against each other,” Antonov wrote.

Nov. 2—The Russian government today issued a formal statement through its Foreign Ministry, urging the “nuclear five” nations—the U.S., U.K., France, China and Russia—to each restate their commitment to the bottom-line policy that “We affirm that a nuclear war cannot be won and must never be fought.” Russia did this in a policy statement, which we reprint in full below, urging that “the most immediate task is to avoid any military clash of nuclear powers,” which could have “catastrophic consequences” for all of humanity. They insisted that de-escalation of the current crisis is the “top-priority task” for everyone.

Oct. 29—The world woke up this morning to the sobering news that the Russian Defense Ministry had announced that they had repelled an aerial and maritime drone attack against the Sevastopol naval base on the Crimean peninsula, which was carried out by Ukrainian military units under the direct control and supervision of the British Navy. Describing it as a “terrorist attack,” the Russian Defense Ministry stated that it was “carried out under supervision of British specialists in the city of Ochakov, Nikolayev region in Ukraine.” The statement then added that “representatives from this unit from the British Navy were involved in plotting, organizing and implementation of the terrorist attack in the Baltic Sea on 26 September this year to blow up the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines.”

Oct. 19—Today, the full Russian National Security Council met for the first time since May. Almost no details of their discussion have been made public at this time.

Oct. 16, 2022 (EIRNS)—Over the last decade, a combination of British geopolitics and wetworks succeeded in shutting down four out of six existing or planned Russian gas pipelines, which could today be exporting over 260 billion cubic meters per year of natural gas to Europe. Instead, less than 55 bcm are now flowing, and that largely through the TurkStream pipeline. The Presidents of Russia and Turkey met last week, and they announced their intention to build a second TurkStream pipeline, capable of pumping over 60 bcm per year, doubling the current capacity of exports to Europe. But will Europe cooperate with this policy?

Oct. 12—Given that Mankind is on the verge of a possible nuclear World War III—and that that fact is now widely recognized in all cognizant circles internationally—every person is now, like it or not, a world citizen, a member of the One Humanity first and before all other national or local considerations. The only question is whether or not we will now act on that basis, as Friedrich Schiller required, and respond as both a world citizen and a patriot.

Oct. 8—In a matter of weeks, the world strategic situation has plunged into the depths of massive infrastructural sabotage and other forms of irregular warfare—a new phase in the war being waged by Global NATO to destroy Russia. On Sept. 26, sophisticated sabotage ruptured the Nord Stream 1 and 2 pipelines at multiple points. And then on Oct. 8, “a truck was blown up on the motorway section of the Crimean Bridge from the Taman Peninsula, which caused seven fuel tanks of a train traveling to the Crimean peninsula to go up in flames,” Russia’s National Anti-Terrorist Committee said in a statement. “Two motorway sections of the bridge have partially collapsed. The arch over the land part of the bridge has not been damaged,” they reported.

Oct. 1—Sept. 26, 2022, the day that the two Nord Stream gas pipelines were sabotaged in an act of international terrorism—will go down in history as a decisive turning point in the global strategic situation. Either that event will be the opening shot in a rapidly escalating series of U.S.-U.K.-NATO extreme provocations against Russia—up to and including actually launching tactical nuclear weapons on Ukrainian territory, which would then be blamed on Russia, and which NATO would then “respond to” with nuclear strikes against Russia itself. Or, the stunning implications of the Nord Stream sabotage will serve to wake up sufficient forces in the United States and Europe to derail the current drive by the Western Establishment for end-game confrontation with Russia and China. That, in turn, would open the door to serious international deliberation on a new security and development paradigm to provide for Mankind’s continuing progress.

Sept. 19—If you are a regular reader of this report, you were probably shocked to learn last Thursday, Sept. 15 that the commander in chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Gen. Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, had co-authored an article published on the Ukrainian news site Ukrinform on Sept. 7 which claimed that there were indications that Russia was preparing a nuclear strike in Ukraine, and that it is therefore “extremely necessary … [that] any Russian attempts at practical steps in the use of tactical nuclear weapons must be preempted by employing the entire arsenal of means at the disposal of world powers.” We warned you at the time that “such an outrageously dangerous and provocative article could never have been written, let alone published, without the prior approval of the U.S., U.K. and NATO forces running the war.”

Sept. 18—Russian President Vladimir Putin took time out from his participation in the SCO summit on Sept. 16, for an extended dialogue with the press, in which he discussed the strategic significance of that summit and why it is an alternative to the West’s dying financial system for most nations in the world. According to a transcript made available on the Kremlin website, Putin stated:

Sept. 14—Over the last week, global NATO has shifted into operational high gear in their plan for war and world dictatorship, in an effort to stop those countries and political forces internationally that are organizing to replace the bankrupt trans-Atlantic financial system with a just, new world economic order—and whose alternative is also now quickly becoming operational.

Sept. 7—The international press conference today hosted by Executive Intelligence Review gathered a powerful group of former military and intelligence professionals, political leaders and candidates, journalists and peace advocates from the U.S. and other countries, documenting the criminal and evil “hit list” compiled by the Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) and the “kill list” compiled by the Myrotvorets ("Peacemaker") website in Ukraine, demanding that they be shut down and that all U.S. funding be immediately stopped.

Aug. 31—In a Jan. 23, 2008 article issued within 48 hours of the Black Monday blowout of international stock markets, and London and Washington’s panicked decision to bail out the global speculative bubble with funny money, Lyndon LaRouche sternly warned: “Failure to take the kinds of U.S. emergency reforms which I have prescribed, would now ensure a chain-reaction form of global hyper-inflationary collapse, threatening to carry the entirety of our planet into a prolonged new dark age.”

Aug. 24—It doesn’t look pretty, if you are one of the elite policymakers sitting in the City of London looking out at the rest of the unruly world, a world that you are trying to control and loot as you have for centuries.

Aug. 15—Today is August 15, 2022, the 51st anniversary of the crime of the century, in which a hapless President Richard Nixon was induced by his Wall Street and City of London controllers to pull the plug on the post-war Bretton Woods system. This crime rang in the era of floating exchange rates, and of genocidal free trade and globalization, and it marked the beginning of the end of Glass-Steagall, opening the floodgates to the rampant speculation which has now plunged the world into a systemic breakdown crisis.

Aug. 12—As the result of a vigorous, surgical, and rapid international mobilization, primarily catalyzed by the Schiller Institute, but also taken up on their own by like-minded, though politically distinct individuals, sometime on Thursday afternoon, Aug. 11, the infamous Ukrainian Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) was forced, probably under advisement from increasingly nervous NATO interests, to take down its blacklist/“kill list” of over 70 international figures.

Aug. 10—Don’t blame the British people for the evil policies emanating from the City of London and Wall Street. They too are now facing a long winter of darkness and hunger, because the systemic breakdown of the speculative trans-Atlantic financial system has unleashed a torrential physical-economic meltdown of the world’s energy, food, medicine and job markets.
