In one week, the International Schiller Institute will hold its conference, “The Oasis Plan:The LaRouche Solution for Peace Through Development Between Israel and Palestine and for All of Southwest Asia.” While atrocities mounted in Gaza and the West Bank, and others occurred in Haiti and Sudan. Those crimes, however gruesome, are, in comparison, as nothing. The greatest crime in history—thermonuclear war—is about to be committed, unless world direction is immediately shifted. Ukraine, as U.S.Senators and Russian diplomats know, is the flashpoint for a potential nuclear war. This nuclear threat comes, not from Russia, but from the desperate, bankrupt NATO forces that are deploying Ukraine to continue, but know that they cannot possibly win. Humanity itself is on the line, as people willfully forget history, or destroy it, as in the looting of the Baghdad Museum in 2003, the destruction and theft of thousands of manuscripts at Timbuktu in 2012-13, and the sacking of Haiti’s National Library this past week. A cultural “New Dark Age” is upon us. The people of the trans-Atlantic’s sector must put down their drugs, turn away from their sports gambling, get off their cell phones and start talking to their neighbors about how to take back the United States government, and other governments. We must defeat those forces that are responsible for 9/11, for the Nordstream Pipeline explosion, and for Russia’s Crocus Theater massacre. That is the pre-requisite for an Oasis Plan, and for a plan out of otherwise-inevitable planetary destruction in the short term.
