The so-called “conflict” in the Gaza Strip—which is not a mere “conflict,” but mass-murder—has extended itself to the Rafah Crossing, the last place of refuge for the war-torn Palestinian population. It’s clear that the United States and the Transatlantic world are committed to being complicit in this genocide, despite crocodile tears from some in the Biden Administration. South Africa has demanded that the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in addition to the provisional measures which it issued on Jan. 26, urgently issue additional demands for Israel to stop its barbarous action in Rafah. The ICJ responded yesterday,
“This perilous situation demands immediate and effective implementation of the provisional measures indicated by the Court in its Order of 26 January 2024, which are applicable throughout the Gaza Strip, including in Rafah, and does not demand the indication of additional provisional measures.”
More action is needed now from world citizens to urge their nations to comply with the provisional measures, including ending their complicity in genocide.
