Not Content To Face One Humanity-Ending War, Anglo-American Lunatics Push for War on China. The LaRouche Movement Knows What To Do

Leading Developments

Jan. 29—The demand by Air Force Gen. Michael Minihan for his subordinates to send in their preparations for war on China, based on his prognostication that by 2025 the United States will be in a military conflict with that nation, was bad enough. That the Chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee Michael McCaul (R-TX) responded, “I hope he’s wrong as well. I think he’s right, though, unfortunately,” is worse still.

The RAND Corporation, which published a 2019 report “Extending Russia: Competing from Advantageous Ground” that reads like a playbook for the provocations and conflict that have followed, has issued a new report “Avoiding a Long War: U.S. Policy and the Trajectory of the Russia-Ukraine Conflict” that assesses that an extended conflict in Ukraine would not benefit the U.S.: “U.S. interests would be best served by avoiding a protracted conflict. The costs and risks of a long war in Ukraine are significant and outweigh the possible benefits of such a trajectory for the United States.”

Sure, nuclear war would be bad, but just imagine what might happen if we aren’t in a position to attack China! “Beyond the potential for Russian gains and the economic consequences for Ukraine, Europe, and the world, a long war would also have consequences for U.S. foreign policy,” the RAND report says. “The U.S. ability to focus on its other global priorities—particularly, competition with China—will remain constrained as long as the war is absorbing senior policymakers’ time and U.S. military resources.”

“A longer war that increases Russia’s dependence could provide China advantages in its competition with the United States,” they worry.

Essentially daring Russia to respond forcefully, calls continue to send more and more weapons to Ukraine: ATACMS missiles with a 300-km range, F-16 jets, and more. After all, since Russia hasn’t used a nuclear weapon yet, they probably never will, “reason” proponents of civilization-ending war.

Japan, which has abandoned its potential historical role as a bridge between East and West in favor of joining the pro-war faction, having been told by Russia to forget about advancing the negotiations on formally ending World War II, has now received the message that Russia will not coordinate on allowing Japanese fishing near the disputed Kuril Islands.

In Germany, a man has been convicted for the crime of stating his views on the conflict. In the United States, Matt Taibbi has revealed how the Hamilton 68 dashboard, with former FBI agent Clint Watts as its leading figure, simply lied about Russian connections as a way to get Twitter to demote or banish accounts. Twitter employees themselves considered the lists of supposed Russian agents “bullshit,” but nearly every legacy news agency considered Hamilton 68 as a valued source of information on disinformation. They were, of course, actually a source of disinformation itself, used to shut down discussion by painting intellectual opponents as agents of a nefarious power.

There is resistance to this insanity. Brazil has maintained its neutrality and refused to send ammunition to Ukraine, or to Germany, out of concern that it would end up in Ukraine. The Prime Minister of Hungary, and Presidents Croatia and Switzerland have each firmly rejected the weapons and sanctions policy emanating from NATO. On February 19, a significant event in Washington, D.C. will bring together leaders of differing backgrounds to send an anti-war message.

Usefully, former President Trump has publicly assessed, correctly, that “We’re on the brink of World War 3,” but has not successfully identified, and certainly has not successfully articulated, why.

The LaRouche movement has!

“We have clearly reached a crossroad in human history, where we either self-destruct in a global nuclear war, or we realize our potential as the only known creative species in the universe so far, and therefore find a solution which overcomes the present conflicts by establishing a higher level of reason,” states the Schiller Institute’s invitation to its February 4 conference. "This is why the offer of Pope Francis to provide the venue of the Vatican for immediate unconditional peace negotiation between Russia and Ukraine should be supported.

“It is high time that we bring the political, economic, and social order on Earth into cohesion with the actual physical laws of the universe, which will also give rise to an unbounded optimism about the creative lawfulness which underlies creation.”
