Oct. 30—The continuing slaughter in Gaza is increasingly being denounced around the world, while the U.S. and most of Europe are blindly supporting Israel “right or wrong.” People are told they must take sides: if you support Israel, you must support the genocide of the Palestinian people; or, if you support Gaza, you must be a terrorist or a terrorist supporter. |
Oct. 28—There are three dramatic updates this weekend: The escalation of attacks on Gaza to new depths of horror; the world upsurge of millions of people in protest against allowing this horror to continue; and the Western battle forces massing in Southwest Asia, which constitute war preparation, not “deterrence.” |
Oct. 27—This afternoon at the UN General Assembly in New York, the 193 nation body voted 120-14, with 45 abstentions, in favor of a resolution calling for a humanitarian truce, toward a ceasefire in Gaza-Israel. The vote and resolution, though non-binding, expresses the assertion by the world’s Global Majority of a desire for compassion and reason, and love of humanity, to supplant the compulsive evil now involved in warmaking in multiple theaters. The vote is a clear rejection of the position of the Global Minority—the U.S., the Anglosphere and Global NATO. The resolution calls for an “immediate, durable and sustained humanitarian truce,” the release of the hostages, and work towards a ceasefire. The resolution condemns “all acts of violence aimed at Palestinian and Israeli civilians.” |

Oct. 26—Russian President Vladimir Putin met in the Kremlin on Oct. 25 with eight of Russia’s top religious leaders, representing the Christian, Muslim, Jewish, and Buddhist faiths. Putin denounced the terrorist attack on Israel by Hamas on Oct. 7, as well as the unconscionable Israeli response of destroying all of Gaza based on “the notorious principle of collective responsibility,” and delivered a very sharp warning to the entire world: “Further escalation of the [Israel-Palestine] crisis poses a risk of severe and highly dangerous and destructive consequences … [that] can spill far beyond the borders of the Middle East.” |
Wars are being used to prevent an orderly shut down of a bankrupt oligarchic system and the emergence of a new order of mutually beneficial development. |
Will you allow the immoral, murderous War Hawks to put us into a three-front World War III, as they act in desperation to defend their collapsing World Order? |
Oct. 25—Think back to early October of this year—scarcely four weeks ago. The Ukraine war was grinding on seemingly interminably, with London and Washington resorting to increasingly provocative Ukrainian attacks on Russia using advanced Western weapons, in light of Ukraine’s “counter-offensive” fiasco. The BRICS summit had been held in South Africa in late August, and had set in motion the seed crystal of an entirely new security and development architecture for the planet. In mid-September the Eastern Economic Forum was held in Vladivostok, Russia, where extensive economic cooperation projects solidified that drive for a new economic system. |

Oct. 24—Brazil’s President Lula da Silva put the bombing campaign in Gaza into perspective—it is the first war in human history where the greatest number of deaths “are children, who are not in the war.” He was speaking today in his latest weekly “Conversation with the President” broadcast. |
No ceasefire, no negotiations, for Ukraine or Gaza, as the Biden administration continues with a dangerous posture of "Permanent War". |
For the neocons who are committed to preserving the collapsing Unipolar Order, there is no room for negotiated settlement, only submission to them. |
Oct. 22—Over the last 48 hours, it appears that a simple step away from the path of an expanded war in Southwest Asia was flushed down the toilet. The negotiations to trade hostages being held in Gaza for drinking water, medical aid, and at least a temporary ceasefire, long enough to get the hostages out, would have been a first step toward recognizing some normal concerns on both sides. Washington was relying upon the mediation of Qatar over the last two weeks, and on Oct. 20 the first two hostages were released—more as an act of good faith by Hamas than anything else—though, admittedly, a bit less than 1% of the Gaza population received enough drinking water for one day. |
Oct. 21—Saturday saw the convening of an emergency peace conference in Cairo, aiming to halt the rapid escalations in the Israel/Palestine theater. Heads of state and other government representatives came from across the world to add their voice for peace and call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza. The host of the event, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, in regards to the unfolding events, asked: “Where are the values of human civilization that we have built over long millennia and decades? Where is equality of human souls without discrimination or segregation or double standards?” |

Oct. 20—President Joe Biden’s just-concluded “mission to the Middle East” was a strategic, military and moral disaster for the world—which he then further compounded in his Thursday night speech on Oct. 19 to the American people. Biden, like the gambler who begs his wife to use the rent money “because I know I can win,” asked a crumbling America, the most indebted nation in the world, for $100 billion more, to throw down the sink-hole of a no-win-World War Three with Russia and China. |
It doesn't take a "conspiracy theorist" to see how "intelligence failures" lead to wars. An understanding of human history is essential to counter evil. |
Oct. 19—Hamas warriors slaughtered up to 1,400 Israelis on October 7. Almost 3,000 Americans died on September 11, 2001. While it may not compare to hundreds of thousands of civilian deaths in Iraq (2003-06) or many other locations of darker-skinned peoples (and while it falls short of the slaughter of Palestinians over the last two weeks), it still is horrendous. And, worse, it is guaranteed to keep happening until the cycle is broken. |
After his trip to Israel, Biden has prepared a new $100 billion package to fund wars, using support for Israel to overcome opposition to funding for Ukraine. |

Oct. 18—It is hard to imagine a starker contrast than that offered by the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation now underway in China, which is organizing optimistic plans for further, large-scale infrastructure projects encircling the planet, on the one hand; and the devastation and destruction of infrastructure and human life, horrendously exemplified by the deadly strike on the hospital in Gaza on Oct. 17, on the other. |
Without intervention, the Palestinian-Israeli situation is a cockpit for World War III. The strategic situation of Southwest Asia is one of incredible danger, now escalating in a way that the spill-over can ignite a global conflagration. |
Oct. 17—Although decisions are more commonly justified by reference to necessities imposed by the past than by the demands of what is to come, justice can be achieved only with reference to the future. Responsibility is more easily assigned than taken, but the current terrifying crisis calls us to take responsibility for installing a new security and development architecture for the world. |
