How is Biden's policy toward China, as seen in last week's "summit", different from Trump's approach to U.S.-China relations? What is behind German Chancellor Merkel's recent vacillation related to COVID lock-downs, and why is Europe so far behind in vaccinations? What is the relationship between an American System economic approach, as exemplified in FDR's New Deal, and pursuit of peaceful, cooperative relationships with other nations? And how do you approach organizing others on complex issues, such as nuclear power, when there is so much anti-nuclear propaganda to sort through?
Many people think they know about the "Council on Foreign Relations", the notorious CFR, which is correctly identified as a leading agency of the "Deep State". Today we look at how the financial and corporate networks of the CFR are pushing the Green New Deal -- including through a new committee of the U.S. Federal Reserve -- to inflate a new "Green" financial bubble, while making "climate change" a weapon for undermining China's Belt-and-Road Initiative. Their goal, besides creating a new Ponzi scheme to prop up their bankrupt financial system, and pour more money into the bloated U.S. defense budget, is to cause a rapid depopulation of the planet.
Are you prepared to go to war, and accept brutal austerity, to support the "rules-based order", knowing the "rules" are made by the City of London financial oligarchy and their allies on Wall Street? And the "rules" are designed to protect a global banker's dictatorship, known as the "Great Reset", and a new financial bubble known as the "Green New Deal"? The latest example of British imperial arrogance is their new policy, "Defence in a Competitive Age", which commits the U.K., and their compliant American ally, to prepare "for more persistent global engagement" -- that is more "endless" wars -- to impose their new financial order.
The threats coming from TransAtlantic Circles of the Military Industrial Complex (MIC) against Russia and China today reflect a bankruptcy in their strategic vision, which matches the bankruptcy of their global financial system. On March 23, 1983, Reagan announced to the world that he was committed to a process of peace with the USSR, based on sharing anti-missile technologies based on new physical principles, a strategy developed by Lyndon LaRouche to end the threat inherent in Kissinger's Mutual and Assured Destruction (MAD) doctrine. The USSR's rejection of Reagan's offer foredoomed their empire, which LaRouche forecast would collapse within five years! Instead of repeating that folly today, which could end in a war of MAD, we have the possibility of "win-win" cooperation, were the West to embrace, and become part of China's Belt-and-Road Initiative, based on Lyn and Helga Zepp LaRouche's design for a World Landbridge.
Does Joe Biden really believe Vladimir Putin is a "killer" who has no soul? Do U.S. officials truly believe that an "Asian NATO" targeting China will reverse the collapse of the U.S.? The alternative to these dangerous fantasies and bluster was presented at the Schiller Institute conference March 20-1, which featured a true dialogue between official representatives of the governments of the U.S., China, Russia, Syria, Iraq and Yemen, officials and activists representing the medical profession and food producers, and journalists and scientists, who took up the challenge, under the direction of Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp LaRouche, to bring humanity to a New Paradigm based on serving the common interests of all nations.
March 18, 2021-- In advance of a flurry of meetings between U.S. officials and leaders of Asian nations, including top foreign policy officials of China, Yahoo News published on March 10 on the balance of forces in the Indo-Pacific region. U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen. S. Clinton Hinote, the deputy chief of staff for strategy, integration and requirements, revealed that recent war games demonstrate that the balance of power is shifting, with China emerging as a serious threat to U.S. interests. By 2018, he said, the "trend in our war games [with China] was not just that we were losing, but we were losing faster." If the Chinese launch an attack on Taiwan, he added, "...we know what is going to happen. The definitive answer if the U.S. military doesn't change course is that we're going to lose fast. In that case, an American president would likely be presented with almost a fait accompli," that Taiwan's independent status would be nullified, and it would be fully incorporated into the People's Republic of China. The war games that Hinote referred to involved a scenario in which the Chinese attack U.S. positions in the Pacific and Taiwan, under the guise of military exercises, ten years from now. His warning echoed that of Admiral Philip Davidson, chief of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, who told Congress that, as the military balance in the Indo-Pacific "is becoming more unfavorable for the United States and our allies...we are accumulating risk that may embolden China to unilaterally change the status quo before our forces may be able to deliver an effective response." Davidson's timetable is faster than Hinote's -- he warned that China could invade Taiwan in six years. He insisted that it is urgent that defense spending on U.S. forces in the region be increased immediately, which was warmly received by War Hawks from both parties.
The world truly is at a Crossroad, which will be the subject of this weekend's online Schiller Institute conference. While the U.S. is downplaying the prospects for an ongoing dialogue between the U.S. and China even before the meeting of foreign policy officials opens today, that the meeting is taking place provides an opening for future dialogue. Put aside for a moment the threats and bluster about military confrontation -- who benefits from war -- The same Military Industrial Complex that is behind the Great Reset and the genocidal Green New Deal, and that is engaging in provocative actions in the Indo-Pacific region. For the Schiller Institute, "Development is the new name for Peace," and China's Belt-and-Road Initiative offers the hope of a better life to hundreds of millions, especially if it proceeds with cooperation from the U.S. Join us this weekend to map out how we can make this happen.
The State Department announced on March 10 that U.S. Secretary of State Tony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan will meet with top Chinese officials in Alaska on March 18. China will be represented in the meeting by Yang Jiechi, Director of the Office of the Central Committee for Foreign Affairs, and Wang Yi, Foreign Minister and State Councilor, to engage in dialogue on what Blinken described as a “range of issues”, including those on which there is “deep disagreement.” The meeting will come in the midst of considerable speculation as to what Biden's policy toward China will be, especially following the worsening of relations caused by the bellicose posture of Trump's Secretary of State Pompeo, who repeatedly attacked China as a threat to U.S. security. After the announcement, Blinken lowered the expectations for a positive outcome, commenting, "This is not a strategic dialogue. There's no intent at this point for a series of follow-on engagements."While Pompeo is gone, his threatening rhetoric continues be heard from U.S. military and intelligence agencies, as in the "Interim National Security Strategic Guidance" paper released by the Biden administration on March 3. In language reflecting the continuity of policy coming from operatives of the "Military Industrial Complex" (MIC) within defense and security agencies, Russia and China are identified as growing threats to "western democracies". It states that this administration will endeavor to gather the world’s “democracies” into an alliance against Russia and China, to counter their "aggressive military deployment" and to thwart their “malign” influence on the world. Blinken confirmed this, telling a Congressional hearing that the administration is committed to a "summit of democracies" to address the threat from China before the end of the year. The Strategic Guidance paper identifies such cooperation with “allies” as key to U.S. policy, asserting that through such cooperation, the U.S. will “reinvigorate and modernize our alliances and partnerships around the world.” However, one must consider that if an “ally” crosses Washington, such as Germany’s refusal to cancel the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, they may also face U.S. sanctions. Blinken has a record as a War Hawk, from his time as deputy national security adviser to President Obama, and as Deputy Secretary of State, from 2015 to 2017. During this time, he was critical of Obama for not being more aggressive in pursuing regime change in Syria, saying this was a "failure" of the administration. As for relations with China, since his confirmation he has warned that Beijing has the economic, diplomatic, military and technical power "to seriously challenge the stable and open international system -- all the rules, values and relationships that make the world work the way we want it to." His defense of a "rules-based order" exposes what this phrase really means: one dominated by the unilateral control by the U.S. and Great Britain, with U.S. military muscle propping up a failing financial system, by crushing any nation which rejects the globalist order. Included in his recent testimony is his call for imposing more sanctions against Russia over the unsupported charges of Russian hacking in the SolarWinds case. According to the {New York Times}, the administration is committed to a cyber attack on Russian government institutions, as part of its retaliation for SolarWinds -- so much for the "rules-based order." Asian NATO The meetings with Chinese officials will follow meetings with officials from Japan and South Korea, with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin joining Blinken for those. The Pentagon noted in a press announcement that the meetings with those two nations are intended to bolster relations with allies in the region “in the face of long-term competition with China.” The State Department added that the meetings will “highlight cooperation that promotes peace, security and cooperation in the Indo-Pacific region and around the world.” Just prior to these meetings, President Biden will hold a virtual meeting on March 12 with his “Quad” allies—India, Japan and Australia.
On this day in history, as presented dramatically by William Shakespeare, those aspiring would-be emperors would do well to heed the warning given to Caesar shortly after he was crowned, "Beware the Ides of March"! The U.S. Military Industrial Complex, backed by Boris Johnson's "Global Britain", is committed to a military containment policy of China and Russia. The "Quad", which includes Japan, India and Australia, besides the U.S., is being mobilized for such a plan. Yet, as a leading U.S. military official admitted, in describing recent war games against China, the trend is "not just that we were losing, but we were losing faster." Before launching new military provocations which could well be a flight forward into war, has anyone thought of trying DIPLOMACY? What is urgently required is LaRouche's Four Power Agreement!
With the confirmation that top U.S. and Chinese officials will meet on March 18 in Alaska, what are the chances for improved relations between the two economic superpowers? Why does NATO still exist, and why would the North Atlantic Treaty Organization deploy troops, naval vessels and military equipment to the Pacific? And is the proposal that people who travel must have "COVID Passports" a new tactic for mass surveillance?
For those insisting that President Biden is in the back pocket of China's President Xi, remember this is the same line that President Trump's opponents used against him for his stated desire to form a collaborative friendship with Russia's Putin. This line, against both, comes from the lying War Hawks of the Military Industrial Complex, to justify a bloated defense budget, to impose the "rules-based order" of global financial institutions. Will Biden submit to them, as the previous administration did by unleashing Pompeo in a frenzied push for regime change wars in 2020? A planned March 18 meeting between officials of the Biden and Xi governments may provide some answers. Join the Schiller Institute online conference on March 20-21 to get the full story on the direction of U.S.-China relations.
The release on March 3 of the Biden administration's “Interim National Security Strategic Guidance” might make one wonder if Donald Trump's Secretary of State, the unhinged War Hawk Mike Pompeo, is still making the policy decisions for the United States. Pompeo spent most of 2020 banging the war drums, completely ignoring that his boss, President Trump, had been elected by saying he intended to "end the endless wars." In his last events as Secretary, Pompeo pushed for more sanctions against Russia and China; threatened Iran, Venezuela and North Korea; named the Houthis of Yemen "terrorists", which threatened to cut off what little food aid was being delivered to that nation, putting millions of children in danger of starvation; and gloated as the "Caesar sanctions" against Syria caused food shortages there, raising the hopes of the neocons that regime change might still come to Syria. Pompeo may be gone, but Biden's team, led by his Secretary of State Blinken, is sticking with the British imperial geopolitical doctrines which threaten to lead to World War III. Blinken demonstrated what the Chinese bashed as "imperial arrogance" when he fulminated against what he calls China's "aggressive" military posturing. He warned that China has the economic, diplomatic, military and technical power "to seriously challenge the stable and open international system -- all the rules, values and relationships that make the world work the way we want it to." Nearly the same language was directed against Russia by Colin Kahl, Biden's representative at the Pentagon, who accused Russia of seeking to "undermine the rules-based international order", and shows "blatant disregard for the sovereignty of its neighbors." One might ask about the Biden administration's regard for sovereignty, when it launched a strike on an Iraqi militia base in Syria, killing at least 22 militants, who were engaged in successful attacks against Islamic terrorists of Al Qaeda, ISIS and Al Nusra, who are supposed to be the enemies of the U.S.! The national security paper released by the new administration demonstrates the continuity of the "Military Industrial Complex" (MIC) in strategic policy, regardless of which party controls the White House. Its goals and language are primarily unchanged from the National Security Doctrine released by the Trump administration in 2018, in identifying Russia and China as threats to the West. It states that this administration intends to gather the world’s “democracies” into an alliance against Russia and China and their “malign” influence on the world. Giving lip service to cooperation with “allies” to fight China and Russia, they say the U.S. will “reinvigorate and modernize our alliances and partnerships around the world.” However, one must consider that if an “ally” crosses Washington, such as Germany’s refusal to cancel the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, they will also be hit with sanctions. It continues: “Our democratic alliances enable us to present a common front, produce a unified vision, and pool our strength to promote high standards, establish effective international rules, and hold countries like China to account. That is why we will reaffirm, invest in, and modernize the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) and our alliances with Australia, Japan, and the Republic of Korea....” In Asia, the countries targeted for “partnership” include India, New Zealand, Vietnam and all of ASEAN, and the Pacific Island states. Since when does the "North Atlantic" Treaty Organization consider the Indo-Pacific region to be part of its military mandate!
The tsunami of liquidity flowing from central banks into the hands of speculators is setting off an increase in commodity prices, which could soon hit producers, and then be passed on to consumers. Concern over the reaction to this is why global financial cartel players are trying to rush through the Great Reset, which includes a new bubble in "Green" investments. But, as we predicted, there is growing opposition to this foolishness, as U.S. states have filed a lawsuit against Biden's Executive Order mandating a Green reset, and Putin made clear he will not allow Russia to be subject to the blackouts which hit Texas due to green energy policies and a deregulated electricity market.
Unless Americans and Europeans mobilize against the Great Reset and Green New Deal, we will soon be entering the greatest Depression in world history. Most western governments, including the Biden administration, are committed to dismantle the physical, goods-producing economies which remain, in favor of an anti-scientific fraud of achieving "carbon net zero", which will doom most of humanity to death by starvation, new pandemics, and geopolitical wars. There is an alternative, drafted by the LaRouche movement, "How to Restart the U.S. Economy: The World Needs 1.5 Billion New Productive Jobs". It is time we feed the people, and not the City of London/Wall Street predators!
A desperate financial oligarchy is acting in the face of a collapse of its financial/economic system as it has in the past, that is, Preparing for War! There are several fronts in this pre-war escalation: targeting Russia and China; expanding existing wars in the pivot region of southwest Asia; and increasing the presence and power of the security state against its citizens, who are tired of endless wars and austerity. The same British geopolitical doctrine which led to two destructive world wars and the long Cold War in the last century is being applied again today, in defense of a rotting global economy. And both U.S. political parties are under the control of those corrupt financiers and corporate conglomerates which are trying to impose that British geopolitical doctrine, through the Great Reset.
The wishful thinking of some, that a force of "White Hats" would come in and sweep away the "bad guys" in a series of mass arrests — an event predicted to occur by "Q" and similar "prophets" during the last three years, with the most recent failed forecast being for March 4 — has proven to be a fantasy, as we have been saying. Instead what is needed is a change in strategic thinking by Americans to a higher level, so that solutions embodied in the Four Economic Laws of Lyndon LaRouche can be implemented, and building popular support for launching a cultural Renaissance, which is the mission of the Schiller Institute, can occur. Can we do this? Wishful thinking must be replaced by serious organizing, if we intend to prevent the growing danger of war and the consolidation of a killer global banker's dictatorship.
March 5 -- In an online conference on February 27 sponsored by the Schiller Institute, Mike Robinson, a journalist and radio talk show host from the United Kingdom, presented a compelling overview of how the U.K. Foreign Office and British intelligence services have been using leading British media to target Russia and other countries for regime change. While anyone who is aware of the role media have played in the post-World War II world in manipulating popular opinion would not be surprised by his report, what is shocking is how successful the sponsors of these programs have been in keeping the story out of the press. The suppression of this story has been necessary for this operation to achieve its goal, of building an "enemy image" of Russia as an aggressive, authoritarian "malign" actor, to justify a continuing policy of imperial geopolitical confrontation and military buildup, which threatens to break out into a general war.Robinson began by pointing to a 2018 article in the {Daily Express} which reported that the Foreign Office set up a Department of Counter Disinformation and Media Development, to serve as a "counterstrike against Russian propaganda." Its purported mission was "to constrain the Russian government's ability to use disinformation and propaganda." With a relatively modest sum of 100 million Pounds to spend over five years, its mission was to "counter disinformation" coming from the Russian government. Its mission included laying the groundwork for isolating Russia, by building "independent media" in the Baltic states, Ukraine and other former Soviet republics, so that "independent media serving Russian-speaking audiences can flourish." The {Daily Express} article was followed by leaks of additional documents hacked by "Anonymous", which exposed the "Institute for Statecraft" as a Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) umbrella for an operation called the "Integrity Initiative" (II). The II, according to the documents released by "Anonymous", recruited and deployed "clusters" of "influencers", which operated out of British embassies in many European countries -- including Germany, France, Spain and Italy -- as well as in the U.S. and Canada. These influencers are described in internal documents as "competent, committed and well-connected individuals", who were deployed to accomplish "anti-Russian goals," such as exposing "Russian propaganda". Included in II's operations was a plan "to inform Russian citizens, [to] reinforce democratic opposition." As for its domestic operations, the II produced concocted stories to convince people in government, think tanks and journalism that the U.K. is "under concerted, deliberate hybrid attack by Russia."Robinson reports that the initial exposure of this operation, including that done by himself and some colleagues, resulted in shutting down the II. Yet, the FCO has not only continued such operations, but has been expanding them, contracting with British media giants Reuters and the British Broadcast Company (BBC). Recent stories placed in the BBC claim to expose Russian agents targeting COVID-19 vaccine development, and include typically unsubstantiated charges that Russia was involved in trying to rig the 2014 referendum vote on Scottish independence, and the 2016 Brexit vote. These charges were contained in a July 2020 report, the "Russia Report", which was presented to the Parliament, with "evidence" provided by the usual cast of anti-Russian operatives, including Chris Donnelly, the former head of the II; Bill Browder, the City of London-backed swindler responsible for fraudulent charges against Russia, which led to passage of sanctions under the "Magnitsky Act"; MI6 mouthpiece at the {Guardian}, Luke Harding; and Christopher Steele, the notorious liar whose "pee-pee dossier" was at the heart of the phony Russiagate narrative used in a four-year campaign to remove President Trump, in which he portrays him as a blackmailed "puppet of Vladimir Putin." After II was shuttered, this network continued its work through a "Rapid Response Unit" in the British cabinet, claiming that it was countering narratives planted by "Russians" in social media. The "77th Brigade" was specifically established to monitor social media, and was staffed by the same people who previously working for II. BBC and Reuters: Arms Of FCO And MI6 Robinson's reporting incorporated that done by Grayzone founder and investigative journalist Max Blumenthal, an American, whose article "Reuters, BBC in Covert UK Program to Push Western Agenda" was published on February 22 in {Consortium News}.
The inability of many to see that Mike Pompeo has been and continues to be a supporter of the geopolitical doctrine which leads to the "endless wars" which President Trump pledged to end, is a strategic vulnerability that allows the Military Industrial Complex to keep us engaged in those wars.
As documented in EIR’s Special Report “The Great Leap Backward: LaRouche Exposes the Green New Deal”, the culmination of a decades’ long effort by the British Royal Family and its City of London financial arm to dramatically reduce the world’s population is now the controlling agenda for world economic policy. Following the recent planning session of the Davos “World Economic Forum” billionaires to implement the “Great Reset,” the London-centered powers are aiming to shrink the world food supply, in addition to shutting down industry and manufacturing. Soon, you may find yourself charged with the crime of “ecocide,” if you give meat or milk products to your children!
Don't be surprised if Big Tech begins censoring reports about the failure of "renewable" energy systems, such as windmills, as a major factor in the Texas Deep Freeze last month. The {Washington Post}, in an attack on those pointing to the failure of windmills to produce electricity as a causal factor behind the blackouts, said such claims are concerning because "they weren't completely fabricated." In other words, to protect the Green New Deal (GND), such truthful analysis must be censored!
The Biden administration's strike on an alleged Iran-backed militia in Syria, in retaliation for a strike in Iraq, puts it on a course to escalate the endless and costly wars in the region launched by G.W. Bush and Obama. This is not in the interest of the U.S., but is being pushed by operatives deployed by the British Foreign Office, to keep the U.S. in these wars. These are the same networks that opposed Trump's desire for cooperation with Russia and China as the way to end these wars, before War Hawks like Pompeo and Esper brought the U.S. back under the geopolitical umbrella. To reverse the dangerous direction such imperial geopolitics are intended to create, Lyndon LaRouche put forward his 4-Power Agreement, an alliance of the sovereign states of the U.S., Russia, China and India, which is powerful enough to to defeat the war drive of the Empire.
As the global cartels pushing the deadly Great Reset and Green New Deal transformation are moving full-speed ahead, driven by desperation as their system is collapsing, the unique strategic solution to this civilizational crisis was provided by Lyndon LaRouche in his Four Power Agreement. To defeat an empire, you need an alliance of sovereign nations, which possess the economic and military power to defeat the imperial forces centered in London, Wall Street, and Silicon Valley. The modern Military Industrial Complex targeted Donald Trump due to his efforts to form a cooperative, mutually-beneficial relationship with Russia and China.
The efforts of President Trump to "end the endless wars" did not succeed, as he was blocked by an alliance committed to continuing those wars, which unfortunately included some of his own administration officials and War Hawk Republicans, who worked together with Democratic neocons, media, Big Tech and think tanks to sabotage a break with imperial geopolitical provocations. With Russiagate proven to have been a fraud from the start, is it now possible to break from geopolitical confrontation? LaRouche's conception of a Four Power agreement remains the best option to escape from the threat coming from the War Hawks -- join with us to once and for all form the strategic alliances necessary to break the control of the global corporate cartels of the "Military Industrial Complex".
The U.S. government is in crisis, its people divided into increasingly polarized camps, while the financial and corporate oligarchy is taking advantage of the chaos to push its plan for a "Great Reset"—a global banker's dictatorship—and a deadly "Green New Deal." With neocons and War Hawks controlling the strategic policy of both parties, and neoliberals running financial and economic policy, there is only one solution, presented in September 2012 by Lyndon LaRouche: End the "Party System", confronting our citizens with their responsibility "for being accountable for what government is, and what it becomes," under our Constitution. LaRouche's speech can be found at: The Power To Do Good: Mankind Has a Special Destiny in the Universe as We Know It, by Lyndon H. LaRouche, Jr. (Sep 9, 2012).
The devastating effects of the Texas Deep Freeze and the continued polarization pushed by those behind Russiagate make clear that the United States remains trapped in a Neocon/Neolib paradigm which is propelling the nation, and the world, to a perilous future.
