Feb. 2—As you read this, the unacknowledged war on Iran, “phase three” of Global NATO’s war with Russia and China—first, Ukraine, then Gaza—is being launched by the Biden Administration. Three locations in Iraq and four in Syria were targeted and bombed, using 125 “precision munitions.” Simultaneous with these attacks, Biden appeared at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware, together with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, and Air Force Gen. Charles Q. Brown, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, to greet the remains of Sergeant William Jerome Rivers, 46, of Carrollton, Georgia, Specialist Kennedy Ladon Sanders, 24, of Waycross, Georgia, and Specialist Breonna Alexsondria Moffett, 23, of Savannah, Georgia.

Feb. 1—The disgusting decision by the U.S., Britain, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Switzerland to suspend their funding of the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which is the major supplier of assistance to the besieged people of the Gaza Strip, and the confirmation from IDF sources that Hamas tunnels are being flooded with water, combined, paint a picture of murder and forced displacement.

What is the importance of the preliminary ruling of the International Court of Justice?  Does it really change anything?  Can the European Union survive?

While Israel continues to kill and destroy in Gaza, with support from the Biden administration, the rest of the world is demanding a ceasefire.

Jan. 31—On Jan. 26, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in The Hague handed down a binding order finding that South Africa had presented a “plausible case” of genocide by Israel, and further ordered that Israel immediately cease any such actions in Gaza while a full investigation is conducted. The ICJ also demanded that Israel file a report with the Court on progress made within 30 days.

Jan. 30—It has been hard to digest the daily slaughter in Gaza, much less the foreboding sense of imminent doom, awaiting the day when the word goes out that a new epidemic has been born—born out of the lethal mixture of 1.9 million displaced Palestinians, most living through a winter exposed to the elements, trapped without proper sustenance, without clean water, without proper sanitation, living in overcrowded makeshift camps.

The ruling last week by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on allegations of genocide by Israel offers a path to a new security and development architecture.

The UN Security Council will meet to hear a motion to make the International Court of Justice provisional measures to stop genocide in Gaza "binding."

Jan. 29—Last week’s International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling in The Hague has put the world dynamic into stark relief. It was always a misnomer to discuss the war in Gaza as merely an issue of Israel’s occupation and the ensuing response to that by Hamas. While that certainly plays a factor, it is a managed factor, a mere player on the stage of a poorly-directed drama. But it is directed, nonetheless.

Will the death of 3 American soldiers in Jordan be the excuse for a U.S. war with Iran?  The establishment is cornered, and therefore dangerous.

Jan. 28—Former British Ambassador to Uzbekistan Craig Murray pointed out, in the hours following South Africa’s (and the world’s) victory at the International Court of Justice on January 26, that “it’s getting more difficult” for the Anglo-American establishment to ignore the power of truth, which, in some circumstances, as in Germany, 1989, can overturn despotism by “knocking out the brains of falsehood.”

Jan. 27—The government of Algeria announced over the weekend that it has requested that the UN Security Council be urgently convened this coming Wednesday, Jan. 31, to give “binding effect” to the historic Jan. 26 decision of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on the matter of South Africa’s charges of Israeli genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. UN Security Council resolutions—if they can get past U.S. and British vetoes—are in fact internationally legally enforceable. ICJ decisions are legally binding on the parties, but the Court has no enforcement mechanism of its own.
