A New World Is Taking Shape, If We Are Wise Enough Not To Blow It Up

Leading Developments

Oct. 5, 2024 (EIRNS)—On Friday, Oct. 4, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov made the apt point that, “We are navigating uncharted military-political territory.” While his comments referred to the growing hostility between NATO and Russia, along with the utter collapse in diplomatic relations, the comment could also be applied to the world as a whole.

Israel is currently weighing what response it will make to Iran’s missile attack on Oct. 1—including the decision of potentially hitting Iran’s nuclear facilities. However, as the Financial Times reported, such an operation “would require extensive U.S. support, if not direct involvement.” Therefore, leading war hawks across the trans-Atlantic are now coming out of their holes to trumpet their approval, demanding that President Biden join an all-out war on Iran. Donald Trump foolishly added his name to this list, as well, during a campaign rally Friday, Oct. 4, saying: “hit the nuclear first, and worry about the rest later.”

Thus, the West is hurtling toward two global wars simultaneously, and if such madness is allowed to play out, it’s unlikely you will even have the time to kiss your rear end goodbye. Saner heads must prevail, and fast.

However, the story would not be complete if left there. While it is normally expected that rage and injustice breeds more of the same—or a cowardly toleration of such—in actuality, a fundamentally different response is taking place in the world today. As Israel has escalated its genocidal actions in Gaza, Lebanon, and beyond—with the full complicity of the U.S.—the nations of the Arab world appear to have made a final decision to stand up and unify. During the summit of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue in Doha, Qatar last week, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, where they pledged to “permanently close the chapter on our differences” to be able to “lead the world with one voice” in light of the current dangers. In addition, Persian Gulf countries pledged to Iran that they would remain “neutral” in the event of any conflict with Israel or the U.S.

At the same meeting, the Iranian President met with Qatar’s Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, where the Emir agreed to release $6 billion in Iranian assets that the U.S. had demanded be withheld. While these nations had become more emboldened over the recent months and years, it appears the dam has finally broken. In the clearest statement of all indicating that a major shift in the Arab and Muslim world has occurred, Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan wrote in Financial Times on the eve of the Doha summit: “Saudi Arabia will tirelessly work towards establishing an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital and will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without this condition.”

Consider this breakthrough in light of the overall shift away from the unipolar system of the decaying trans-Atlantic. Among the notable recent developments are: The BRICS continue to receive a strong response from the world and particularly the Global South, and will be taking up major questions of a new financial and payment system at its summit in a little over two weeks; Peru’s Chancay port is now nearing completion, opening up an entirely new domain of trade and economic activity for South America—with China’s direct involvement; the overwhelming consensus in the world community that hostilities and weapons shipments to Ukraine and Israel must stop, and peace negotiations must begin immediately.

The world has in fact already decided to go in a different direction, what’s lacking is the acknowledgment in the West. As indicated by the shift in the Arab and Islamic world, the chains of control are breaking, and the collapse in credibility of “liberal Western values” is like a train that has already left the station—never to return. Is it any wonder that some desperate madmen want to declare war on this emerging new world, in the vain hope that it will preserve the old?

For Americans, the hope of a prosperous future under the umbrella of a military-industrial-financial complex, whose stock values are soaring with endless profits from endless wars, has just been washed away by a river in North Carolina. No amount of “security” achieved by policing the world will change the reality of the neglect and collapse experienced at home—not to mention the trail of destruction left in its wake abroad. However, it does pose the question of the “moral fitness to survive,” and at least indicates the direction toward which the West must now turn.

A new world is taking shape, and is in fact the pathway through which global thermonuclear war can be avoided. Mankind is a beautiful species, and has more in common than it has differences. This will be the subject of a major peace rally and concert in New York City on Oct. 26, hosted by LaRouche Independent candidates Diane Sare and Jose Vega. Don’t miss this opportunity to change the world.

Don’t Let Them Start Another World War

May 31, 2025 (EIRNS)—It was famously said by Milton that Lucifer would rather “reign in Hell, then serve in Heav’n”; the Western elites are but clumsy and infantile imitators of that “lost Arch-Angel,” but very dangerous ones, all the same.
