The U.N. General Assembly was the scene of a battle between two paradigms, one of war and looting, the other of cooperation for mutual benefit.  

Sept. 29, 2024 (EIRNS)—Whatever team is making decisions at the White House, this “collective Joe” grouping has, on two recent occasions, apparently turned down the opportunity to go full “flight-forward,” when confronted with the matter of firing Western long-range missiles deep into Russia. On Sept. 13, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer came to muscle Biden on the matter, and on Sept. 26, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy attempted his unique form of charm on the White House. On both occasions, Russia’s President Vladimir Putin had sent a loud and clear message the day before, that Moscow was in no mood to play games, where Ukrainian proxies have their “’label” on the launching of U.S., British and French long-range missiles deep into Russia.

Sept. 28, 2024 (EIRNS)—When it comes to the world’s hottest of hot spots, peace cannot be created from within the region. Only a shift in global affairs can prevent the escalation of crises which will otherwise lead to the destruction of all life on Earth through thermonuclear warfare.

Sept. 27, 2024 (EIRNS)—As has become painfully obvious over the recent period, Western leaders who have traded their souls for a place at the table of the Anglo-American imperium are standing in opposition to peace. On Friday, Sept. 27, a group of 20 nations founded the “Friends of Peace” group on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. Headed by China and Brazil, and centered around their “six common understandings” to end the Ukraine-Russia conflict, these nations insisted that more fighting and weapons is not the pathway to peace. As China’s top diplomat Wang Yi said at the event: “It took time for other people to understand that other paths don’t lead to peace.” China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian claimed that fully 110 nations are supportive of their initiative.

Sept. 26, 2024 (EIRNS)—Russia’s proposed new nuclear doctrine, presented yesterday by President Vladimir Putin, is targeted directly at the predominant “Anglosphere” fantasy, that they can use nuclear blackmail against Russia, putting missiles closer and closer to reach of Moscow, but incurring no risk to London or Washington. Moscow, in this fantasy, is supposed to play along with the narrative that non-nuclear countries are really the ones launching long-range missiles deep into Russia.

Sept. 25, 2024 (EIRNS)—On Wednesday Sept. 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced proposed revisions of Russia’s standing doctrine for the use of nuclear weapons, which significantly lower the threshold for their use—at exactly the moment that new military action by the United States and NATO, acting through Ukraine, is about to cross that threshold. Unless Washington’s policy of seeking the strategic destruction of Russia is changed immediately, the world stands at the brink of global thermonuclear warfare.

Putin announced a revised nuclear doctrine yesterday, to address the continuing push against Russia coming from NATO's war hawks out to "weaken" Russia.

Biden's farewell address to the U.N. was full of self-consoling delusions.  Other world leaders demanded action to stop the wars launched by him and his allies.

Sept. 24, 2024 (EIRNS)—Declarations and speeches of an unusual importance were made on Tuesday, Sept. 24, at the opening of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly Debate. (That did not include the embarrassment of President Biden’s troubled remarks.) While the threat of thermonuclear war palpably loomed over the UN proceedings, addressing that threat in its true form required a strategic upending of the “masters of war,” to seize the moral high-ground before the “collective Zelenskyy/collective Biden” show could gain traction.

Sept. 23, 2024 (EIRNS)—Netanyahu’s goal appears to be to draw Iran and Hezbollah into an escalated conflict, by goading them into action through a series of increasingly provocative attacks, including assassinations, destruction of diplomatic facilities, pager explosions that caused many indiscriminate injuries and deaths, and now a series of attacks on southern Lebanon that have left hundreds dead and over a thousand wounded in one day. (The assault was swiftly denounced by Brazil.)

The corporate oligarchy which is committed to endless wars is trying to use the U.N. to prevent the majority of nations from breaking out of the dead end of the collapsing Unipolar Order.
