Defeating the Demand for War PDF (121.94 KB)

June 14—War is not inevitable! The vast majority of the world’s nations are forming a new economic system.

Kenyan President William Ruto advanced the cause of de-dollarization for local trade: “Kenya champions the Pan-African Payment and Settlement System, which is done by our own institution, the Africa ExIm Bank…. Why is it necessary for us to buy things from Djibouti and pay in dollars? Why? There is no reason!… Let us pay in U.S. dollars for what we are buying from the U.S., but what we are buying from Djibouti, let us use local currency.”

The Russia-Ukraine peace initiative promoted by African leaders is moving forward, with Republic of Congo President Sassou Nguesso explaining, “We are all suffering the effects of these wars directly on our peoples. Inflation is rising everywhere, and we believe that Africa cannot remain silent or indifferent in the face of such a tragedy.”

People from over 100 countries are gathering in Russia for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum over the June 14-17, despite exultation from the New York Times about the lack of an “international” (read: “Western”) presence.

The third China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo will be held in Changsha in Hunan Province from June 27-July 2. Representatives from 50 African countries have so far registered to attend.

Chinese scholar Zhang Weiwei explains China’s approach to human rights, compared to that of the West: “The United States has never considered poverty eradication a human rights issue, while Europe considers it an obstacle to the realization of human rights at most. However, China has politically recognized poverty eradication as not only a human right, but also a core one, and has put it into firm, vigorous, and extensive practice.” In the Western view, he says, “importance is only attached to the political rights of citizens, but their rights to survival and development are ignored.”

The success in creating rapprochement between Saudi Arabia and Iran has given leaders new optimism for a fundamental breakthrough in the Israel-Palestine conflict, coming from the future-oriented Global Security Initiative, and the development potential of cooperating with the Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS. China and Palestine officially upgraded their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership on Wednesday, June 14. China supports Palestine becoming a full member of the UN (it is currently an observer) and to achieve a two-state solution. According to Global Times, Chinese President Xi Jinping called for “the establishment of an independent state of Palestine that enjoys full sovereignty on the basis of the 1967 borders and with east Jerusalem as its capital” along with its economic development.

On the Syria diplomatic track, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov announced that there will be a meeting of deputy foreign ministers of Syria, Turkiye, Iran and Russia in Astana on June 21.

But Anglo-American NATO is desperate for war.

In the United States, Donald Trump, the greatest threat to unseat the current, addled occupant of the White House, is being subjected to a multitude of criminal charges, related to such supposedly world-historical crimes as a bookkeeping issue regarding paying off a woman making claims about a supposed sexual encounter, and the Espionage Act prosecution over a dispute over some records. These cynical prosecutions mock the very concept of the rule of law. And they come not just because Trump is the leading electoral challenger to the incumbent President, but because the entire world is shifting, and there is frantic desperation to prevent the United States from even potentially becoming a part of that new paradigm. Would Trump consider Russia and China as inherent and eternal enemies of the United States, as the Anglo-American imperialists must demand?

Lyndon LaRouche identified and fought against mankind’s enemies, earning their enmity, as well as prison sentences for himself and members of his movement. President Kennedy was assassinated to prevent the world he would have helped create. Could the unprincipled, political mis-use of the law enforcement/intelligence/judicial system properly be addressed, without exonerating LaRouche, and without fully addressing the Kennedy assassination?

Tonight’s program begins with a recent “intervention” made on Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), where the mistaken association by an audience heckler of the actions of the ‘intervener’ with the LaRouche movement showed that the voice of LaRouche is what is heard when there are words of courage and truth.
