July 11—This evening at the White House, NASA gave a special briefing to the President and Vice President to preview the stunning new results from the James Webb Space Telescope. One preview photo was released, showing a scene of shining lights amidst darkness, from 13 billion years ago. NASA Administrator Bill Nelson, who has been in space, stressed that with this new capability, “We’ll be able to answer questions, we don’t yet even know to ask.”
