Now, for a LaRouche New Bretton Woods

Leading Developments

June 24—The Schiller Institute will co-opt the upcoming American Fourth of July Weekend and present the LaRouche New Bretton Woods proposal as the core content of a world development architecture, and therefore a world security architecture. This will occur on Sunday, July 3. It will feature a keynote by Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche. Independent candidate for the U.S. Senate in New York Diane Sare is also invited to speak, and others may participate as well.

Many important initiatives that approximate the LaRouche perspective have been discussed in recent months and even days, including at the just-concluding BRICS-Plus summit conference. What is still missing, however, is a clear statement of moral intent—a “Declaration of Independence” from the failed policies of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Central Bank and the Federal Reserve, all of them subsidiaries of the City of London—from any person or institution in the trans-Atlantic sector. The Schiller Institute will provide that a week from Sunday. The ghosts of the Bank of England’s Master of the Royal Mint, Sir Isaac Newton, and the Royal Africa Company’s John Locke, are already not amused.

At a time like this, of inflation, war, pandemic disease, and cultural despair, why should the world be afflicted, and United States’ citizens embarrassed by the opportunistic use, “drive-by” style, of desultory “Decoration of Independence” ceremonies, appropriated by barely-literate (in any language) State Department and other government apparatchiks to, for example, extol the virtues of the “struggle of the noble government of Ukraine for democracy?” On the other side (which is actually the same side), there are the neo-Jacobins who, using the understandable but wrong anti-Americanism of many (including many Americans) who will make matters even worse, proclaiming morally shocking revelations like “the Founders were all heterosexual!” Meanwhile, they dismiss the economic revolution that was actually responsible for the ending of slavery, as begun by Franklin, Washington and Hamilton, “declared” in Hamilton’s Reports on the National Bank, Public Credit, and Manufactures, and enacted in the form of the great canal projects, and the Society for Useful Manufactures—exactly the outlook that the nations of China and Russia, in their own manner, are pursuing today.

The Schiller Institute, in this 100th anniversary year of economist Lyndon LaRouche’s birth, will on July 3, in the shadow of the conference that produced the Declaration of Independence, present the philosophical-economic basis to re-establish sovereign nation-states, and a worldwide community of principle that will turn away from humanity-threatening war. An international vanguard intellectual force, like that which first formed the United States, dedicated to restoring sanity, specifically in the form of durable economic survival, to the trans-Atlantic sector, must be volunteered. To begin with, it must first rescue America’s fractured Constitutional government from the 35-year-long corrosion that began with the June 1987 indictment of Lyndon LaRouche by a Boston grand jury, eventually devolving that government to a state of near-dissolution as a result of processes unleashed by the Bush/Gore 2000 “election” and the subsequent events of September 11, 2001 and the resultant insidiously-named “Patriot Act.”

Returning to the universal spirit, not merely the letter, of the Declaration of Independence, and the Preamble of the United States Constitution is essential to outflank the now-exposed, but increasingly deadly criminal insanity of the “elites of the Anglosphere.” Few among the “elites” inside of the United States are up to the task. That is because they absented themselves from the central fight against the intelligence agencies of the imperial financial establishment that put LaRouche in jail from 1989 to 1994, and even sided with those forces for personal gain as the 1990s “derivatives,” “dot-com,” housing, reinsurance and other bubbles were expanding, especially after the official abandonment of Glass-Steagall. Now, the City of London has nearly achieved its goals, but for the resistance displayed at the Schiller Institute conference, “There Can Be No Peace Without the Bankruptcy Reorganization of the Dying Trans-Atlantic Financial System.” Thermonuclear war, however, could be the result of their victory. We must deny them that victory, in favor of the outlook just discussed among the participating nations of the BRICS-Plus summit conference (see slug.)

Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s 1984 “Declaration of the Inalienable Rights of Man,” was not only a basic founding document of the Schiller Institute. It was a way to make the “American System of Physical Economy” founded by Ben Franklin, Alexander Hamilton, Mathew and Henry Carey, and Germany’s Friedrich List, once again intelligible to the world, at a time that American institutions, particularly the State Department, had disgraced, defiled and abandoned that very American System. While Lyndon LaRouche had subsumed the American System school because of his mastery of the scientific work of its founder, Gottfried W. Leibniz, it was Zepp-LaRouche’s work on the fifteenth-century founder of modern European science, Nicholas of Cusa, that had revealed that Cusa’s works, such as Concordantia Catholica (On the Catholic Concordance) had also laid the basis for “the consent of the governed” and other ideas of the American Declaration of Independence, as well as the scientific mission leading to the re-discovery of America.

The idea for the swift introduction and intervention of the LaRouche New Bretton Woods into the present dead-end, emerged through the deliberations in the first and second panels of last week’s conference. That is an example of the very process that was the process of deliberation that resulted in the Declaration of Independence itself, at a several-day conference in Philadelphia in 1776. And it is exactly why the two-year Schiller Institute conference process, from April 2020 through now, is the singular forum within which that philosophical standpoint required for success can be re-established today, toward which the July 3 New Bretton Woods assembly is the next, timely step.

Schiller Conference: Deliberating on Mutual Durable Survival

May 20, 2025 (EIRNS)—In the realm of statecraft, world crises are not the starting point from which to determine the durable survival of the human race. It is the future of the human race that must determine the present. Statesmen must have a view of the Earth’s next 50 years, the next 100 years. It is the method by which the future is to be made which determines the concept of any durable policy.
