Schiller Institute To Hold a May 26 Video-Conference of Experts Warning of Nuclear War

May 17—The Schiller Institute announced today that it will hold an international video-conference next week of military and security experts from several trans-Atlantic countries, speaking out against the “insanity of politicians” pursuing policies that threaten nuclear war. This conference announcement comes at the very time of a surge of mania over expanding NATO, heightening the confrontation with Russia.

Today the leaders of Sweden and Finland announced they will apply to join NATO at the same time, and their respective government bodies are fast-tracking the formalities for approval. U.S. Senator Mitch McConnell, Minority Leader, just visited Helsinki and Stockholm, pledging that he intends to rush approval of the new NATO applications through the U.S. Senate, before Summer recess.
