April 5—Global Britain, deploying elements of the United Nations, European Union, the G7, and of course, NATO in the forefront, has escalated wildly this week, drawing out their lies, and the suffering in Ukraine, for the purpose of pushing their intended new global domination architecture, even at the risk of world conflagration.
The Schiller Institutes’ process of dialogue and policy formulation, based on furthering production of the means of life and peace, have never been more necessary. The upcoming April 9 international conference is more of a critical counterpole of sanity, than even its initiators may have known a few short weeks ago.
Today in the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), British Ambassador to the UN Barbara Woodward presided over a special session on alleged Russian atrocities in Bucha, Ukraine, and orchestrated for mob action against Russia. Britain holds the April rotating presidency of the UNSC. Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky briefed the meeting by video, giving a blood-curdling list of incidents he charged against Russia, and providing a video of horrific scenes of corpses. Ranting that there is “no security” coming from the UNSC nor UN General Assembly, he demanded that a world security conference must be held.
Pressing on this theme, at the UNSC and elsewhere, the Global Britain tactic is to block any regular institutional investigation of charges of Russian bad conduct, but instead to kick Russia out of anywhere possible, limit its participation in the world of nations, and obliterate it. A move is planned for another vote on Russia in the UN General Assembly, this time on expelling it from the UN Human Rights Council. In Europe, a round of expulsions of more than 100 Russian diplomatic staff was announced in the last 24 hours, from the expulsions individually issued by Germany, Italy, and Denmark.
Tomorrow, NATO begins an in-person meeting of foreign ministers from 30 member nations, for a two-day session on Russia and Ukraine. The NATO Asia-Pacific Partners have been specially invited to attend, including Australia, Japan, and South Korea, because, as NATO stated, Ukraine is a “global crisis.” Ukraine Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba will attend in person. A G7 ministerial meeting is also in the works this week.
Ex parte mock-investigations of alleged Russian misconduct in Ukraine are underway, including by the European Union, whose EC President Ursula von der Leyen plans to go to Kyiv this week. In fact, NATO Director Jens Stoltenberg, at a Brussels press conference today, said that NATO stands ready to conduct an investigation of Russia and give results to the UN. This coagulation of institutions could not be a more blatant display of the ambition of the Global NATO for a one- world takeover.
The U.S. Treasury yesterday announced that henceforth it will dis-allow Russia from making any more payments due to foreign bond and debtholders, out of the Russian assets the U.S. has seized. Case-by-case, a number of such payments have been made in recent weeks, but this is now to stop by U.S. decree.
The calm voice of sanity in all this was provided today by China’s UN Ambassador Zhang Jun to the UNSC, and implicitly by Brazil and African nations. The diplomat said that what is needed for the Ukraine emergency is for all nations to provide “favorable conditions” for its settlement. Disturbing charges and reports must be investigated properly, and fueling of strife must stop. The history of the situation must be made known and understood, to never be repeated. Food and other essential economic matters must not be “weaponized, politicized and instrumentalized.”
This amounts to a call for nations to take up deliberation on the full range of crises we face, especially the persisting and new pandemics, the impending famine, and the economic breakdown. Among the reports from high UN officials at the UNSC today, Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, said that there are 325 million people on the edge of starvation in 2022, more than double from three years ago.
The Global Britain response? Blame Russia for the worsening hunger. Make a look-good pledge to humanitarian aid, and otherwise block food production. For example, on March 31, the Biden Administration turned down flat a request from the American Farm Bureau Federation and others, for farmers to be allowed to grow crops on land otherwise fallow in the Conservation Reserve Program. The Farm Bureau had said, “time is of the essence” for Spring planting, to respond to the world food crisis. But Washington said, No. The EU, likewise, is doing nothing serious to mobilize food production.
Join the mobilization to say, Yes, to the future. This weekend brings together the ideas on economic security, and the representatives from every continent, for steering a new course for humanity. Spread the word on the conference!
