No political leader or force in the United States or Europe is any longer challenging the biggest banks in the world, which have been unbelievably enriched during this pandemic by the central banks, while millions have died and hundreds of millions have lost their work and their subsistence. President Trump called their CEOs “Wall Street geniuses.” The European Union has the likes of Morgan and BlackRock plan its alleged “recovery programs.” The World Economic Forum club of finance billionaires, who gather with the British royals at Davos, have put themselves in charge of the supposedly all-important global “Green New Deal” and have been seizing control of government spending policies from governments. In the U.S. Congress, the erstwhile anti-megabank champions like Sen. Elizabeth Warren no longer dare to mention the Glass-Steagall principle of bank separation when the biggest banksters sit in hearings before them.“At our upcoming conference it is very, very urgent that we resume the fight for Glass-Steagall Act. There are clear signs of a hyperinflationary blowout,” declared Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche today in discussion with activists all over the United States and Canada. It is those banks, bulked up to incredible size by the Federal Reserve during this economic and human crisis, who are driving that hyperinflation now threatening us. The four largest U.S. banks—JPMorgan Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citigroup—now have half of all deposits in the banking system: $7.5 trillion of $15 trillion—but have made only $4 trillion in loans! The seven biggest have three-quarters of all the assets, $13 trillion out of $17.5 trillion. These are giant engines of speculation. Since 1999 when Glass-Steagall was eliminated they can speculate on anything from oil tankers to stock and bond indices; and their speculation with the Fed’s flood of money printing—while no productive employment or investments are created—is driving the rising tide of inflation. The worst danger is the power these banks now wield, above all in imposing the global technological great leap backward of the Green New Deal. It will send advanced economies into chaos and subject developing countries to genocidal population reduction by denying electric power, mechanized agriculture, modern medical delivery. But it promises a huge new bubble of “green finance” to those banks by the looting power of high energy prices and carbon taxes. We already have seen BlackRock and associated Wall Street and City of London investment firms forcing the shutdown of coal and oil power, from the United States to South Africa to the Philippines, by cutting off investment. Only today another consortium of six of the biggest global banks combined to force “decarbonization” on the steel industry. The OECD’s think-tank on “green transformations” projects world steel production to drop by more than half over this century. Helga Zepp-LaRouche has named the only sane response. These giant banks must be thoroughly broken up, both to choke off the fuel for the engines of speculation and to break their immense political power. How can we allow new classes of deca-billionaires to accumulate hundreds of thousands of times more wealth than working homeowners, and millions of times more than the couple of billion people in the world who have no regular work or healthcare after a year of pandemic? Glass-Steagall must be brought back, only one of what Lyndon LaRouche called the “Four new Laws To Save the Nation” when he laid them down on June 8, 2014. National banks for productive credit are necessary in every country; and the productivity investments of that credit should be paced by science-driver programs of space exploration and fusion power/plasma technology development. The Schiller Institute’s June 26-27 international conference, featuring experts on both economic and physical sciences, will be a turning point in getting the world back to economic development.

This Saturday, the 20th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks, the Schiller Institute is holding an international online event, centered in New York City, titled, “The Path Forward from Afghanistan, 9/11, and the Surveillance State.” Experts—from intelligence specialists to those suing for disclosure of classified documentation—will bring out the truth about the British, Saudi, and corrupt, treasonous U.S. networks behind the attack. Covering up those facts with the Big Lie that rogue bad guys in Afghan caves brought off the air carrier assaults, is a key part of what led to 20 years of destructive, failed warfare in Afghanistan, which is now ended. Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche will speak and participate in the dialogue on what comes next.The event will be preceded Friday evening by a Schiller Institute NYC Chorus concert streamed live from Manhattan, titled, “9/11 Memorial Concert: Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis ‘Agnus Dei’—Peace for Ourselves, and the World.” These occasions are not to be missed. They embody the interventionism needed to act in support of what is required at this moment for initiatives to support reconstruction in Afghanistan, to move the world into a new era of cooperation and betterment everywhere, not destruction. There are reports from the Central Asian region in this direction. Today the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in China said that yesterday’s meeting convened by Pakistan, which included China along with five other nations also neighboring Afghanistan, marks what will be ongoing collaboration. Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian said that the meeting " signifies the establishment of a coordination and cooperation mechanism by its neighboring countries. This mechanism goes hand in hand with other existing multilateral mechanisms related to the Afghan issue and can complement each other and form synergy…. The hope to host the second conference has already been expressed." On the ground, institutional support has begun. On Monday, the first of three planes flew into Mazur-al-Sharif, with tons of medical supplies from the World Health Organization. The UN logistics service, run by the World Food Program, tweeted photographs of the plane and cargo, to mark the commitment. Today, Doctors Without Borders tweeted that they have been able to keep open the five hospitals they operate in Afghanistan. China announced it will send in 3 million doses of COVID-19 vaccine, and $30 million worth of food, medicines, and related aid. The Kabul International Airport is now fully operational, and a flight carrying 100 people, including several Americans, departed today and landed safely in Qatar.. The necessity for a new direction posed by the Afghanistan situation, demands rethinking by all institutions. This was in evidence at today’s heads-of-state annual BRICS meeting, held virtually, hosted by India. All the national presidents spoke. Afghanistan was prominently on the agenda, and President Vladimir Putin stressed that, “the withdrawal of the Americans and their allies from Afghanistan caused a new crisis situation…. Naturally, Russia, as well as its BRICS member partners, advocate for the long-desired peace and stability on the Afghan soil.” He said that the partnership of the BRICS nations is in demand in many challenging situations. “Indeed, the authority of our association is growing, and its role in international affairs is increasing; it is very noticeable.” Also required for a world shift into a positive direction, is the role of citizen leadership everywhere—speaking out on what must be done. On Sept. 5, Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche addressed this, with her statement, “Can the ‘West’ Learn? What Afghanistan Needs Now,” issued for endorsement and for fostering other statements and initiatives from everywhere. In total opposition to this mobilization of humanity, Tony Blair, the instigator of every possible “R2P” (“responsibility to protect”) military invasion he could imagine, appeared today in a Washington, D.C., live-streamed broadcast hosted by the Washington Post. He defended the U.S. and NATO’s 20 years in Afghanistan, and the Bin Laden cover story, and demanded continued U.S.-UK military collaboration anywhere and everywhere against what he described as never-ending ‘extremist radical Islamism.’ The fact that anyone listens to this war criminal simply demonstrates the treasonous nature of the Washington Post.

March 9—Two weeks into the Ukraine-Russia war, policymakers in the West are nervously discussing whether or not the scorched earth financial warfare they have launched against Russia—and the world—will backfire. Will it blow out their entire trans-Atlantic system before they can bring Russia to heel? Might it instead lead to a formidable Russia-China economic counter-bloc, outside and against the West’s speculative system of looting? Could it possibly even unleash nuclear war?These are questions which would have been rejected as apocalyptic and foolish just one month ago; but today they are being openly discussed in the Western media as the existential questions of the day. Yesterday afternoon, the House of Representatives voted up impeachment against President Donald Trump 232 to 197, just seven days before his term ends in any case, and the latest in a string of operations to nullify the U.S. Presidency, involving baseless accusations against Trump of Russiagate, the Mueller Report, racism, impeachment I, and now, impeachment II.Regarding this latest instance, every hour, more comes out verifying how the “insurrection” that Trump is accused of inciting—in today’s single article of impeachment against him—was in fact a staged affair. It was part of an overall orchestration of events and personalities to whip up a popular frenzy in which “emergency management” can be imposed upon the American people and institutions. This is the nature of what was done in the historic case of the Reichstag fire in 1933, and in the aftermath of Sept. 11, 2001. This is what we are up against now, and can defeat, provided we understand it “from the top,” and take countermeasures from the highest level. The Big Tech social and regular media companies—an arm of London/Wall Street and intelligence networks—have blatantly moved in to shut down communications of President Trump, and thousands of others. We received a report tonight that a CNN commentator declared after the impeachment and other anti-Trump actions, “We will make Trump disappear, just like we made outlaw Lyndon LaRouche go away.” So much for what they know. Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador issued a ringing denunciation of the madness, and lawlessness of the communications crackdown underway in the United States, saying this morning that, “the Statue of Liberty is turning red with anger, because it does not want to be turned into an empty symbol…. Freedom is even in the First Amendment of the United States Constitution.” Investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald said last evening on Fox News that the Big Tech corporations have “more power than nations.” Others are speaking out. Schiller Institute President Helga Zepp-LaRouche addressed the whole picture today, in a webcast, “We Are Sitting on a Powder Keg—It’s Not Just Vote Fraud.” Among her points, she stressed that the operations against Trump, the suppression of any proper judicial or Congressional hearings on election irregularities and fraud, and all the rest, are a pretext to crush anyone who would oppose the agenda of the trans-Atlantic establishment, in imposing its green dictatorship Great Reset Initiative. And supposed to reorganize the entire financing system so that only Green finance is allowed. And that’s already started to happen with the major banks.” It has nothing to do with the environment, which is just an excuse, but is a drastic downgrade of technology and the means to support life. One of the most outspoken advocates of depopulation, Paul Ehrlich, author of The Population Bomb in 1968, just co-authored an article out today calling for lowering “fertility and consumption” by humans, in order to protect the “biocapacity” of the Earth, and saying that one agency which understands that radical action must be taken, is the World Economic Forum. What is required is a complete shift in policies. The added impetus is the present danger of conflicts flaring up into all-out war. Mike Pompeo, true to form ’til the last of his tenure at the State Department, is doing everything possible to ignite trouble. Yesterday, he gave a National Press Club briefing on how Iran is the home base for al-Qaeda, and must be penalized. Helga Zepp-LaRouche addressed how to think about what must be done, speaking of the necessity of “working together in solving problems to rebuild the United States … and moving the relations among nations to a completely different paradigm. You have to make up your mind: Do you want to have war with Russia and China and blow up the whole world in a nuclear war, leading to the complete annihilation of the human species? Or do you want to have an approach of a new paradigm, solving problems together.”

The present crisis has been deepening for thirty years, with broken promises and betrayal, a continuing series of provocations, which led President Putin to insist that written, legally-binding guarantees of security must be adopted; and that the upcoming meetings, which began with yesterday’s discussion between the two Presidents, and continue with three meetings beginning January 9, must produce results. Otherwise, the world is on a pathway to Hell! She also emphasized the shame of the West in regard to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. To allow the present situation to deteriorate is to engage willfully in genocide. The Committee of the Coincidence of Opposites is taking leadership in mobilizing for not just a solution for Afghanistan, but to address the continuing danger explicit in the absence of a modern health system in every nation.

In her weekly webcast, Helga Zepp-Larouche said that in spite of a potential for de-escalation of tensions between Russia and U.S./NATO resulting from Tuesday's video summit between Putin and Biden, we are "still sitting on a powder keg." Biden said he will speak to allies about Putin's request for a guarantee of no further NATO expansion, and putting pressure on Kiev to stick to the agreements they signed at Minsk. However, Sullivan and Blinken, who flanked Biden during his talk with Putin, continued to make threats against Russia, including that there would be a "blistering response" if Russia invades Ukraine. This was backed up by threats to Russia from Democrats and Republicans, including one Republican Senator who called for considering a first strike with nuclear weapons against Russia. In contrast, Tucker Carlson called such talk a "bipartisan sort of insanity." Zepp-LaRouche concluded her comments by calling for reasonable voices to speak up now, and join her in pursuing multilateral cooperation through such projects as "Operation Ibn Sina."

Four committees have been proposed by Helga Zepp-LaRouche as the springboard for a campaign of action for the advancement of proposals arrived at over the two-day Schiller Institute Conference of November 13th and 14th, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Must Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be The Immortal Species!” Those policies included: a “higher resolution” of the Afghanistan crisis, both the immediate danger of famine, and the longer-term integration of Afghanistan into a functioning “world land-bridge.” The initiative was named by Zepp-LaRouche “Operation Ibn Sina”; a “no limits to growth” science policy, expanding nuclear and thermonuclear energy production, consumption, research and development worldwide; a resurgence of classical education and culture through a modern “Convivencia” of Eastern and Western pedagogical methods, in the image of Leibniz’s proposal to establish an international string of collaborative academies; and a world collaboration to not only eradicate the danger of the coronavirus, but also to establish an international health platform, including clean water supplies and healthy food, and to extend the scientific boundaries of present-day biology, chemistry and physics in order to supply medicine with the necessary conceptual breakthroughs for the new requirements for diagnosis and treatment of disease so sorely revealed to be necessary in the wake of this still-evolving pandemic.These committees represent evolving, dynamic investigative processes, embedded in a rapidly shifting manifold of discontinuous but knowable change. For five decades, economist, statesman and thinker Lyndon LaRouche approached current history by applying a method of thinking, an epistemology, to the “hyper-geometry” of evolving political processes. In an April 1976 article entitled “Heuristic Application of the Higher Theory of Manifolds to the Current Strategical and Subsumed Tactical Situation,” Lyndon LaRouche sought to describe to his associates why “If one proposed to force existing governments to directly implement [a certain policy], the task must seem formally an impossibility. Yet, if the possibility for a rapid succession of intermediating developments is clearly understood, no such difficulty as initially appears to prevail stands in our way.” He said: “In any relatively short interval of development of a phase of society of a definite kind, a characteristic specific feature of that society, adducible from its mode of development, defines the approximate equivalent of a set of universal laws specific to that phase of that society. Consequently, in the experience of persons within that society, certain forms of activity as characterized by such rules, represent the effective measure of reality within that context. Consequently, certain features of life, so determined, have the significance of ‘fact’ under such conditions…. We might therefore properly term such ‘facts’ to be ‘practical facts,’ since their conditional validity is inseparable from the effectiveness of the kinds of actions they imply; they are called ‘facts’ essentially because the reactions they imply ‘seem to work’ within the framework of that phase of that particular society’s development. “Then, however, bring that society to a point of discontinuity, such as the present…. The society has reached the point at which it can no longer exist on the basis of the previously dominant sets of institutions. As a result, what worked as reactions to events in the past, no longer works. In a very meaningful sense, the laws of the universe have suddenly broken down insofar as relations within that society approximate a set of implied universal laws of social practice. Consequently, what was effectively a ‘fact’ in 1971 [now 50 years ago—ed.] is no longer a fact today.” At that point, the laws governing reality must change. Inversely, in LaRouche’s Dec. 19, 2004 essay, “The Dialogue of Eurasian Civilizations: Earth’s Next 50 Years,” LaRouche efficiently forecasted the next 50 years in front of mankind, 16 of which have now occurred. “Earth’s Next 50 Years” was, however, no mere “futurology.” It was a call to action, and “a call to (intellectual) arms.” The recently concluded two-day conference of the Schiller Institute, was a process within a process conceived in the image of that LaRouche-proposed 2005 strategy for global transition. The initiatives from the conference, including the creation of the four committees intended to act upon the crisis presented in the four panels at the conference, are embedded in a war for the soul of civilization. At COP26, the oligarchical despots that dared to declare that $130 trillion could be amassed from private capital in order to resolve a problem that did not exist—namely, the emission of CO₂ into the atmosphere—instead created an opening, a flank, which we must now exploit. By revealing that, were the will to do so present, trillions of dollars could be deployed for the purpose of eradicating poverty, famine, disease, and therefore, war itself, the international financial oligarchy made eloquently clear, to all those not so intimidated as to be unable to see it, their Malthusian, monstrous reality barely hidden behind the mask called “climate change.” The British expressed their displeasure at Joe Biden’s being unable to deliver what they desired for COP26, by allowing the Guardian to run a lengthy article about his apparent flatulence in the face of members of the royal family. How happy are they now, at the results of the 3-1/2 hour video conversation between Biden and Xi Jinping of China? Though the saber-rattling continues from the Pentagon and State Department, the two leaders have discussed matters, and Biden has insisted that he does not support, and that America does not support the idea of Taiwan’s independence. “One China” remains the official American policy. But the battle for a sane U.S.-China relationship is still inconclusive; a higher-manifold resolution must be supplied. The international political battlefield is fraught with danger, as can be seen in the back-and-forth border dispute between Poland and Belarus. Angela Merkel’s 50-minute phone call to Lukashenko has infuriated the Greens and other anti-Russian German and EU elements. Discussions involving France’s Emmanuel Macron and Russia’s Vladimir Putin have also sought to de-escalate the situation in Central Europe. Meanwhile, Ukraine was allowed to join EU efforts to help postpone the certification of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline by at least 6 months. The immediate consequence of this will be punitive inflation of gas prices—punitive to the citizens of Europe, as Russian representatives have pointed out. Nonetheless, why does, and will, every strategy advanced to destroy Russia and China, militarily or otherwise, only serve to significantly materially and politically destroy the Anglo-American “(shrinking) sphere of influence?” Why, in fact, must the failed but still-prevalent axioms of the international monetarist system, which died but was never buried in 2007-2008, ultimately destroy that very system itself, no matter what policy is now adopted in the short term? The reason is that the reality by which that system seemed to be governed, actually never existed; it was embedded in another, higher “manifold.” That is the manifold of physical economy which LaRouche illustrated through his “Triple Curve” heuristic graphic 25 years ago, depicting the insoluble, “explosive” contradiction between looting the physical economy and inflating the fictitious speculative monetarist bubble. There will be no admission by the “guardians of the establishment,” probably ever, that they have no idea what is actually going on. ECB President Christine Lagarde, for example, does not say that she was mistaken on how long inflation, that is, hyperinflation, will presently continue in the trans-Atlantic system. She simply says “it will last longer than we expected”—sort of like the coronavirus, now raging in Germany, Austria, and throughout Europe, as well as in Russia. Medical personnel in Austria have just warned that “war triage” could even emerge, if a completely new approach is not taken to confronting the truth of the character of the coronavirus pandemic, and to adopting the necessary public health measures and expenditures worldwide. Victory will also require breakthroughs in the sciences of biology, medicine, chemistry and physics, for which the inspiring figures of Louis Pasteur, Marie Curie and Ibn Sina, one of the greatest physicians in all human history, will serve as metaphors for the method of scientific higher hypothesis itself. “Hypothesis non fingo—”I don’t make hypotheses“—is the motto, known or unknown, conscious or instinctive, that dooms the leadership of the present time in the trans-Atlantic world. The”laws " and “facts” by means of which they have governed, no longer work. But, like the once-famous Wile E Coyote of cartoon fame, who keeps running off the side of a cliff without noting that he has actually left solid ground, the doomed, left to their own devices, only confront reality when it smacks them in the face. It is possible, however, as well as necessary, that the Schiller Institute’s commitment to the dignity of humanity, expressed through the anti-Malthusian resistance it has helped to spark as seen at Flop26, becomes the new hypothesis for action adopted by more and more people dedicated to make this higher, better world, not merely an intention, but a fact.

As energy hyperinflation is taking off, as a result of both objective and subjective factors, Helga Zepp-LaRouche said that this is what her husband uniquely warned about when the Club of Rome first began pushing its anti-human slogan of "limits to growth" in the late 1960s. Zepp-LaRouche reiterated her view that collaborative efforts among nations, including the U.S., Russia and China, to reconstruct Afghanistan and Haiti, can provide a basis for overcoming this otherwise deadly threat to humanity.

In a preview of what will be the focus of this weekend’s Schiller Institute conference, Helga Zepp-LaRouche emphasized today during her weekly dialogue that an underlying theme will be to address the “wrong method of thinking” which characterizes most political discussion in the western world.
