At a moment of building tensions through the world, with wars ongoing and starvation and deaths from disease taking too many lives, and leaders unwilling to stand up against the private interests of the oligarchs who are operating in the shadows, I recommend we pause for a moment to remember the life of a great American—former President John F. Kennedy, who was taken from us 60 years ago today in Dallas, Texas, in an assassination still covered up by the people who were responsible for organizing both his death and the cover-up of the likely authors of his murder.
Nov. 26—How does humanity, in the coming hours and days, prevent a return to the barbarism of the recent ethnic cleansing in Gaza, carried out in plain sight of the whole world by the very same people who piously speak of “the rule of law” to the entire planet?
Nov. 27—The world is writhing over the ongoing situation in Southwest Asia, and unexpected openings are popping up right and left. After a successful four days of hostage releases and accompanying “humanitarian pause,” a two-day extension was announced Monday evening, Nov. 27, thereby extending the pause until Thursday morning, Nov. 30. The question lingering in front of the world, however, remains: Can this temporary pause be turned into a real, lasting peace? And what’s required to actually achieve that?

Nov. 25—The brief, although successful ceasefire achieved this week between Israel and Hamas represents a substantial opening in the efforts to avoid a rush to world war.
Nov. 24, 2023—The Sunday Humanity For Peace Emergency Forum, “No More War Crimes!! Economic Development, Not Depopulation!!” will occur as the four-day Gaza ceasefire begins to draw to a close. Friday’s actions by the Prime Ministers of Spain and Belgium in confronting Netanyahu directly in calling for, not only an end to the killing, but also a Palestinian state, and immediate negotiations to stop the violence, are the first public major break from within NATO with the ethnic cleansing policy that has already made northern Gaza unlivable, and has already wiped out generations of Palestinians killed by retributive justice and collective punishment. Beside Egyptian President El-Sisi’s call for the same thing, his remarks, that he would be prepared to accept a demilitarized Palestinian state, secured by international guarantors, and that “we will not permit the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip. I sensed a genuine and real understanding by the international community on our rejection of the displacement issue,” show that the seed-crystal of a new security and development architecture could in fact emerge right now, by forcing the world to assert the universal, inalienable right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness for all people, for which the Schiller institute has stood from its 1984 founding document, Declaration of the Inalienable Rights of Man.
Nov. 23—The Anglo-American empire, in efforts to continue to exert outsized control over world affairs, has adopted the geopolitical outlook of preventing cooperative development among nations, especially in Eurasia. This is the context for the intended explosion of the Israel-Gaza conflict into a broader regional war, to target the expansion of the BRICS process and the potential for regional integration in the mode of the LaRouche movement-proposed World Land-Bridge.
Nov. 22—A tense, negotiated hostage exchange and temporary ceasefire between Israel and Hamas is scheduled to go into effect sometime this weekend, possibly as early as Friday morning, local time. It will last only four days, with the possibility of extending it, day-by-day, for a few more days if things proceed as agreed. International aid agencies are already warning that the increased humanitarian aid that is also supposed to flow into Gaza will be far from what is needed and will scarcely ameliorate the human suffering there.
Nov. 21—We observe on Nov. 22 the 60th anniversary of the last man of actual courage to prove that courage as President of the United States, John F. Kennedy. “When, in 1962, U.S. President John F. Kennedy was pressured by hardliners within his own administration to launch a military invasion of Cuba ‘in defense of America,’ after the Soviet Union had placed ballistic missiles there—missiles which, unknown to Americans at the time, were armed with nuclear warheads—he refused, and saved the world from nuclear war, perhaps at the cost of his own life.” That’s how the proof is stated in the invitation to the International Peace Coalition’s “Emergency Forum: No More War Crimes! Economic Development, Not Depopulation!” set for Nov. 26.

Nov. 20—This week started with diplomatic initiatives on three parallel tracks, committed to ending the atrocities in Gaza, and more generally, to uprooting the causes for that and for the deadly conflict in Ukraine.
Nov. 19—The doors to a new era of history are being opened by a flurry of political activism, diplomatic work, and planning for a new paradigm. In California, youthful activists demanding a ceasefire in Gaza stormed the annual California convention of the Democratic Party, shutting down the event for the rest of the day.
Nov. 18—As the world gazes in horror at the steady march of destruction in Gaza, while an increasing number of leaders, political and otherwise, add their voices to the chorus demanding ceasefire and peace, we must remember: Human history is not inevitable.
Nov. 17—On day 42 of the so-called Gaza War, the Biden administration got their first “victory”—Netanyahu’s war cabinet acceded to the request to allow fuel into Gaza for the minimal running of the desalination plants and the sewer systems. They are allowing two fuel trucks a day, and have calculated that, at 2-4% of Gaza’s regular usage, fuel won’t get diverted or wasted by hospitals trying to restart incubators for premature babies and other such luxuries of life. They explicitly stated that mass disease and epidemics would get in the way of the war effort, endangering Israeli soldiers; and the two trucks would buy them time with international critics, allowing them to do more killing.
Nov. 16—A glimmer of a possible way out of the deadly global strategic crisis besetting the entire planet took shape in the four-hour summit meeting between U.S. President Joe Biden and Chinese President Xi Jinping, which was held near San Francisco on Nov. 15.
November 11th--As Netanyahu's relentless attack on Hamas continues -- with increasing casualties among the civilian population of Gaza, with thousands of victims, including children, women and the elderly -- the administration of U.S. President Biden continues to give him a blank check, of both money and military support. As most nations in the world are demanding a ceasefire, the U.S. remains the most important backer of Netanyahu's campaign for revenge, his call for "Mighty Vengeance," in response to the attack on Israel by Hamas on October 7.
