How many times have you heard your grumpy neighbors complain that “they” (the third person mysterious) are ruining the country, but that there’s nothing that can be done? Often enough, this is followed by some mumbling to the effect that “I’m only one person”. Perhaps, possibly, maybe, you yourself have been afflicted with this mindset. If so, then there’s someone you badly need to meet.
PDF of this statement It is unfortunate that while the world is now 20 months into the coronavirus pandemic, it has yet to adopt a unified educational and public information campaign to educate all of the world’s people as to what we all must do. Pandemics do not respond to election cycles, declarations of war, stock market fluctuations or media campaigns. They respond to vigorous, competent, relentless public health measures, in combination with medical breakthroughs required to address new situations. Pandemics, by their nature, cannot be defeated locally or regionally, but must be addressed globally, with global cooperation and collaboration.Though different governments have experienced varying degrees of success, we all know the sobering reality. We have now passed the grim milestone of over 5 million deaths worldwide from COVID-19. This figure is undoubtedly higher, since many deaths in parts of the world may not have been reported. New cases of COVID-19 are now skyrocketing in parts of Europe. In Austria, a new lockdown has been imposed. In Germany, 5,000 ICU beds have been eliminated over the last year, during the pandemic, and medical triage is now being contemplated for critically ill patients requiring ICU care. The United States is far from out of the woods, with over 1,000 deaths per day for the past several weeks. Large portions of Africa, Asia, and South America, and other parts of the world with impoverished and famine-stricken populations await, like Petri dishes, for the arrival of the next wave of devastating infections. Yet still now, after 20 months of suffering the ravages of the COVID-19 pandemic, the world still does not have an adequate, comprehensive, unified approach to solving this crisis. The lack of information or outright disinformation, on the part of far too many people, is contributing to an increasingly untenable situation. On behalf of the Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites, I am calling upon virologists and medical experts throughout the globe to undertake an international, coordinated and integrated educational campaign to establish a sane approach to deal with this and potentially future pandemics. This campaign should include clear exposition of the following: What is a pandemic? How must a pandemic be fought? What is public health and how must we join forces to implement tried and tested basic public health measures, including sanitation, clean water and nutritious food, and the provision of preventive and ameliorative medicines, including vaccines, essential to defeating this pandemic? What is the comparative efficacy of the various vaccines and other measures now deployed in different nations and regions in preventing serious illness and death? How do we provide adequate numbers of hospitals, health facilities and medical personnel in every nation, including the systematic recruitment of youth community health workers to assist now, as the pandemic is brought under control? Seventy-six years ago, at the close of World War II, the world said “Never Again” to “depraved indifference,” which is the deadly virus that must be fought to prevent the uncontrolled spread of death and disease. What the world now requires, to address the ensemble of diseases we could be facing, is the establishment of a modern healthcare system in every nation, including food, clean and safe water, electricity, decent housing, sanitation, roads and other infrastructure. The world’s healers must step up now, to do the job that has not been done. We must educate the people so that Science may supersede superstition, hope may conquer despair, and concern for all humanity overturns a self-destructive concern for just a select few of humanity. I ask the worldwide medical community to join this effort. Dr. Joycelyn EldersFormer Surgeon General of the United StatesCo-Initiator Committee for the Coincidence of OppositesNovember 23, 2021
In the face of growing global discontent, the globalist, corporatist oligarchy is plowing ahead, convinced that the opposition to its policies will soon peak, become tired, depressed, and disengaged, and ultimately submit to the deadly intent behind their arbitrary "Rules-Based Order". There is an unbroken continuity behind the policies they have imposed since they murdered President Kennedy and covered it up, which is leading to systemic economic and social collapse, and new wars -- while their destruction of education and imposition of brutal cultural "norms", such as "identity politics", keeps us divided. The Schiller Institute has launched new initiatives to counter this "new normal". Join us to restore the best traditions of the American System and classical culture.
A group of Russian doctors today issued a public letter to a group of “anti-vaxxers” whose scientific qualifications for their expert advice amounts to playing doctors on TV, or being worshiped as rock stars. Written by the chief physician at Moscow’s main hospital treating COVID-19 patients, the letter states: “We are a bit busy at the moment, and you can guess why. But since many people are reading and listening to you, we will find time to arrange a tour of the ‘red zones,’ intensive care and pathology departments for you. Maybe after that, you will change your mind and fewer people will die.”Earlier this week, Dr. Joycelyn Elders, the former U.S. Surgeon General and Co-Initiator with Helga Zepp-LaRouche of the Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites, issued an “Open Letter to Virologists and Medical Experts Around the World to Address the Covid-19 Pandemic.” Dr. Elders goes beyond the painful plea of the Russian doctors to overcome the obscurantism of the anti-vaxxers. After 20 months of the killer pandemic, with over five million deaths, she writes, the world “has yet to adopt a unified educational and public information campaign to educate all of the world’s people as to what we all must do…. Pandemics, by their nature, cannot be defeated locally or regionally, but must be addressed globally, with global cooperation and collaboration.” It is obvious to any honest observer of the current crisis of civilization, with mass starvation in several parts of the world and an out-of-control pandemic, that the collapse or non-existence of a modern health care system in most parts of the world, including the U.S. and Europe, is being ignored, while the royals and billionaires at the Glasgow COP26 conference retail fake science regarding the climate to divert attention from their genocidal intention. It should be just as obvious that the creation of the anti-vaccine movement comes from the same Malthusian architects. Why are so many people raging against vaccines, while ignoring the fact that the advanced nations have denied access to vaccines to most of the poor nations of the world, with a mere 5% of Africans vaccinated at this point? Are they any less subject to medieval superstition than the poor deranged youth convinced the world will burn up if the progress of the human race is not immediately curtailed? Spain, the only country in Europe not experiencing a 4th or 5th round of COVID-19—and the only one which has lifted all restrictions, even while most of the others are implementing new lockdowns—has successfully vaccinated 96% of those over 40 years old, and 89% of those over 12. Does this tell us anything? Before World War II, the British and their American dupes promoted eugenics, the pseudo-science launched by Darwinian follower Francis Galton, as legitimate science, arguing that race determined intelligence, and that the “lesser races” must be occasionally “culled” to prevent over-population of defectives. Funded by the Rockefeller Foundation, the family of Averell Harriman and other blue-bloods, the Third International Congress of Eugenics was held in 1932 at the Museum of Natural History in New York City. Dr. Ernst Rudin, the German eugenicist, was unanimously elected president of the International Federation of Eugenics Organizations. Rudin then proceeded to run Adolf Hitler’s sterilization programs and the Nazi extermination policy. While eugenics was discredited by the policies of Rudin and Hitler, the insane notion that carbon is dangerous to mankind, and to the planet, is no less evil, and far more deadly. So, too, are the efforts to prevent the use of vaccines, especially the refusal to make them available to the whole of the human race, as part of the urgent necessity that modern health facilities be created in every nation on Earth. You are encouraged to support and circulate the statement by Dr. Elders.
This week's Midwest Meeting was joined by special guest Mike Billington, on the unique role and history of the LaRouche Movement. Mike was one of the individuals imprisoned alongside Mr. LaRouche in 1989, for unapologetically fighting to free mankind from the grip of oligarchy. He discussed this, as well as recent breakthroughs made by the LaRouche Movement and the urgency for our profound intervention today.
On October 3, 1863, in the middle of a bloody Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln issued a proclamation of Thanksgiving. He began, “The year that is drawing toward its close has been filled with the blessings of fruitful fields and healthful skies. To these bounties, which are so constantly enjoyed that we are prone to forget the source from which they come, others have been added, which are of so extraordinary a nature that they cannot fail to penetrate and even soften the heart which is habitually insensible to the ever-watchful providence of Almighty God.”Lincoln concludes: “I do, therefore, invite my fellow-citizens in every part of the United States, and also those who are at sea and those who are sojourning in foreign lands, to set apart and observe the last Thursday of November next as a Day of Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens. And I recommend to them that while offering up the ascriptions justly due to Him for such singular deliverances and blessings, they do also, with humble penitence for our national perverseness and disobedience, commend to His tender care all those who have become widows, orphans, mourners or sufferers in the lamentable civil strife in which we are unavoidably engaged, and fervently implore the interposition of the Almighty Hand to heal the wounds of the nation and to restore it as soon as may be consistent with the Divine purposes to the full enjoyment of peace, harmony, tranquillity and Union.” In today’s period of immense danger, it is useful to reflect on the conviction of the universal genius (and generally unacknowledged U.S. founder) Gottfried Leibniz, that this is the best of all possible worlds. The crises and dangers of today do nothing to contradict that sentiment. In fact, they are insistent demands, opportunities to improve. The insane push for war and conflict with Russia and China, the efforts to spike the re-implementation of the JCPOA with Iran, the ongoing spread of Covid, the soaring prices for fuel, food, and materials, the deliberately enraging “programming” produced by the so-called news media—one could wish these away, but is it possible to have a world of peace, stability and growth while at the same time participating in a culture of apathy, ugliness, and sensualism? It is the justice of this best of all possible worlds that these problems arise as painful reminders that we have not achieved a culture worthy of human dignity, that we have not overthrown, once and for all, oligarchism from the government of the world. This shapes the goals of the LaRouche movement—goals which require rethinking our image of mankind itself—goals such as the establishment of worldwide productivity to support the provision of high-quality health care to all people, with Afghanistan as a case in point, of the need to foster a beautiful culture embracing scientific discovery. A development of the last 48 hours in California points to the potential for international cooperation in the broadest context. NASA launched a spacecraft which, in the fall of 2022, will collide with a body in the asteroid belt, changing its orbit. Compared to the adventures of what is called the Department of Defense, this planetary defense mission is a true work of defense. Yet it is far too small. Waiting the better part of a year to slightly alter the course of an asteroid will be of little use in defending our planet. We need to surpass the inherent limitations of slow chemical rockets through international collaboration to create nuclear-powered rockets, capable of reaching any such body in a matter of weeks, rather than months. Such are the heights of the defense of human life, and the sorts of projects in which the world can happily engage after jettisoning the green and geopolitical ideologies that crush our aspirations today. We can be thankful even for our adversities, provided we apply the courage needed to overcome them!
Rarely, but sometimes, the “contrapuntal” intersection of many different efforts in statecraft can converge in a tangible instance, and a perceptible “instant” in time. An “increasing density of singularities” might be one way of characterizing the results of the 24- hour interval of November 22-23, with respect to the work of the International Schiller Institute and its associates. In Italy, Yemen, the Netherlands, and the United States, the solution-driven perspective for the world’s severe conjunctural crisis was notably advanced in the form of statements that were calls to action addressed to the implicit anti-Malthusian resistance among nations and networks that has been significantly strengthened following the admitted failure of the Flop 26 conference.Interestingly, these four interventions mirrored the four areas identified by Helga Zepp-LaRouche as a “four committees” approach to the present strategic crisis. This was suggested by Zepp-Larouche during the course of the two-day symposium/conference of the Schiller Institute, Nov. 13-14. Less than 10 days later, progress was registered in each area. First, Zepp-LaRouche, along with Jacques Cheminade, Marsha and Doug Mallouk, and Diane Sare, sent greetings to the nation of Yemen’s First BRICS Day, begun by Fouad Al-Ghaffari and the Yemen BRICS Youth (see slug.) (BRICS stands for Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.) Second, “Operation Ibn Sina,” a “higher manifold” intervention into the intractable crisis in Afghanistan, both the short-term threat of famine and the long-term challenge of Southwest Asian stability and self-government, was officially endorsed by Alessia Ruggeri, trade unionist and chairman of UPI Italia, in a press release entitled “Helga Zepp-LaRouche Launches Operation Ibn Sin to Save the Afghan People.” The release was covered in the Sicilian newspaper Il Corriere di Sicilia. Third, Dr. Jocelyn Elders, former Surgeon General of the United States, issued, on behalf of the Committee for the Coincidence of Opposites, a statement entitled “Open Letter to Virologists and Medical Experts Around the World to Address the COVID-19 Pandemic. Fourth, Dr. Guus Berkhout of CLINTEL published a polemic in the de Telegraaf newspaper in the Netherlands entitled ”Help! What Is Happening With Our Universities?" which once again advanced the fight for truth in science, and the triumph of ideas over superstition. The “Four Committees” refers to the four areas of tactical-strategic intervention that emerged from the deliberative sessions of the Schiller conference, a result of the airing and higher resolution of the sometimes widely diverging views of the conference speakers, interlocutors, and questions from the virtual assembly. At times the panels had as many as 3,000 people viewing. This “systems of conferences” approach to “higher-order deliberation,” is a process that is unique to the organizations that LaRouche founded or co-founded, and was designed by the late economist and statesman to foster a deliberate examination and improvement in the very method of inquiry that people bring to ideas, to thinking, and to changing their ideas through problem-solving. The method of inquiry LaRouche used to become the foremost economist in the world, is now being employed for the purpose of applying, heuristically, the “higher statecraft” of Classical thinkers such as Ibn Sina, Nicholas of Cusa, Gottfried Leibniz, and Friedrich Schiller, all viewed from the advanced vantage point of LaRouche’s unique discoveries in physical economy, to arrive at approaches for immediate strategic action, addressing what might otherwise appear to be insoluble problems “respecting man and nature” presently confronting humanity at the close of 2021. The bankrupt geopolitics which is seen in the latest antics from Washington’s State Department, NATO headquarters in Brussels, and Ukraine’s Kiev, toward seeking military, economic, and financial provocation of Russia, has a fatal flaw: it offers nothing, no benefit, to the very populations of the trans-Atlantic sector it purports to defend. Sanctions are thrown up against Russia, and the Nord Stream 2 pipeline’s commissioning is delayed, even as it is demanded that Russia make more natural gas available. The people making the demand are the very ones actively preventing it from happening. Claims are made about Russia massing 90-100,000 troops along the Ukraine border, while Ukraine makes threats to use American Javelin missiles in the Donbas region, and the United States, as reported by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, deploys multiple sorties by American strategic bombers, armed with nuclear weapons, to within 15 miles of the Russian border. Consider, apart from its being irresponsible war-provocation: how does any of this contribute to the well-being of the population of the United States or Europe—both of which, as Global Times partially points out, face the very real threat of dire financial, economic, and medical conditions this very winter, in a month or less? Something more is needed in this global instance of time. As John F. Kennedy remarked on the occasion of eulogizing the death of poet Robert Frost on October 26, 1963, less than one month before his own: “Robert Frost coupled poetry and power, for he saw poetry as the means of saving power from itself. When power leads men towards arrogance, poetry reminds him of his limitations. When power narrows the areas of man’s concern, poetry reminds him of the richness and diversity of his existence. When power corrupts, poetry cleanses. For art establishes the basic human truth which must serve as the touchstone of our judgment.” The “poetic principle” is what the Schiller Institute believes works best; it provides a means for revealing, and re-imparting that “basic human truth” to nations, governments, and people that have lost or are in danger of losing their humanity. For example, the notion of geopolitics has always been wrong, and will always be wrong, because the dignity of man, not the integrity of land, is the basis for human negotiations between human beings. If instead of geopolitics, an actual discussion of “Operation Ibn Sina’s” namesake, not merely his contributions to medicine, but to metaphysics and other areas of knowledge, were successfully introduced as a topic, even as food relief, medical care, release of funds and the easing of sanctions were implemented, a higher plane, a higher manifold of discourse would uplift the participants, turning them from opponents into collaborators. That is the advanced, contrapuntal, multi-voiced “resolution of dissonances” that as a method—the coincidence of opposites—must be the singular standard which, if used, can produce an increasing density of singularities in statecraft over the next weeks, without which it is possible that civilization might not survive.
As it is becoming more obvious that those running the governments in the Trans-Atlantic region are committed to imposing a deadly Malthusian population reduction, using a banker's dictatorship and war as their chief tools to implement it, the Schiller Institute has set in motion an organizing process to defeat them. This is not a timeless matter. With many of their initiatives running into growing opposition -- for example, the FLOP26 fiasco -- war is becoming more likely, with a dangerous escalation aimed at Russia. For more information on our initiatives, go to the schillerinstitute.com.
In her weekly dialogue, Schiller Institute founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche reviewed the leading developments from the perspective of the Schiller Institute's initiatives to shift the direction from chaos and war, to strategic, scientific and economic cooperation. She reported on the exciting conference in Yemen, to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the founding of the BRICS Youth initiative; the urgency of Operation Ibn Sina for Afghanistan and motion to support it in Italy; and the open letter from former U.S. Surgeon General Elders to medical professionals and others, to launch an educational campaign on COVID, to counter the confusion coming from governmental mistakes and inaction, and anti-vaxxers and others on social media. She also reported on the dangerous provocations coming from the U.S.-U.K.-NATO War Hawks against Russia and China, and concluded with presenting the LaRouche alternative to hyperinflation -- beginning with Glass Steagall and Hamiltonian credit policy -- and examining the farce emerging with the likely coalition government to be announced in Germany today.
President John F. Kennedy was assassinated 58 years ago today. It is a national and human tragedy that since JFK was killed, the United States, in six decades, has not embarked on any scientific crash program to achieve any fundamentally new frontier of technology, beyond those already underway under his Presidency. Those were the human exploration of Earth-Moon space; the investigation of bio-medical properties of nuclear isotopes; the expansion of revolutionary TVA water control systems to new Western dams with the intention to build the North American Water and Power Alliance “great project.”The first of these three was allowed to atrophy; the last of the three was allowed to die with President Kennedy and its other movers, his brother Robert F. Kennedy and Sen. Frank Moss. As Lyndon LaRouche and his movement have never stopped explaining, the next frontiers for crash programs are dominated by fusion power, super-hot plasma technologies for industry, and nuclear propulsion for space travel. We will never go beyond the Earth-Moon system without it. And developing the Earth-Moon system and then going beyond it, with nuclear and fusion propulsion for really rapid space travel, will be the “driver” for the scientific and technological breakthroughs of this century. For years cynics have said, “Fusion power is always 30 years away.” No! Any fundamental technological breakthrough has always been 30 years away, because we have had “leaders” who’d rather fight small wars and sleep on any real technological progress. The laser-industrial revolution promised in the 1970s already? Didn’t happen. Our Strategic Defense Initiative? Never got funded. Magnetic levitation rail corridors? Not here. You’ll find them in China. Computer controlled five-axle machine tools? Fast cargo systems between ports and rail? Didn’t try for them. Hypersonic vehicles? We slept on it for a decade or so. And now small modular nuclear reactors are the latest technological breakthrough to stay always “10-20 years away.” On behalf of a great deal of mankind, American and European leaders have been snoring the loud sleep of technological inertia for decades. But it has been clear all along that the most important frontier for science, for higher education, for the capacities of the human species, is fusion energy. Now the U.S. Congress has been told, on Nov. 17, that in August, Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory—almost as a secondary by-product to their military program—approached achievement of a “burning” or self-sustaining fusion plasma, where the energy produced by the fusion process would exceed that required to ignite it. Joel Dejean, an engineer and a LaRouche Independent candidate for Congress in Houston, commented on the hearing: “What happened in August is that they achieved, with an input energy of 1.9 megajoules … the output energy from the fusion that occurred was 1.3 megajoules, or 70% of breakeven. And during the time when the tablet was contained by its inertia, and when the fusion was occurring between the deuterium and tritium, which are isotopes of hydrogen, that experiment generated over 10 quadrillion watts of power, in that few hundredths of a nanosecond. Now, this is a significant breakthrough, and they’re proceeding with upgrades in the experiments, to actually get to breakeven, where you get more power out than you put into the experiment.” But as Dr. Tammy Ma, a plasma physicist at Lawrence Livermore’s National Ignition Facility, made clear in her testimony before the House Energy Subcommittee hearing, its near-achievement of laser fusion breakeven came in the course of its ongoing scientific research into the performance of nuclear warheads. She explained that the Livermore National Lab has no development program for inertial confinement fusion energy, the technology where the breakthrough was seen! Other reports are that the scientific work itself might soon have been shut down, had it not made this surprising leap forward in fusion research—a wake-up call, an opportunity to be seized! In fact the entire nation has no fusion program with serious national funds, 41 years after Congress claimed it was going to fund such a breakthrough-oriented program in the Magnetic Fusion Energy Engineering Act of 1980. More young students are getting motivated to work on fusion energy. But they have to look to small private companies, with proprietary funding, whose work is so proprietary it’s almost classified, although there appear to be some breakthroughs being achieved there as well. This must be changed. Wake up! Fusion can be achieved! Our scientific understanding of the basic energetic process of the universe can be revolutionized through the combination of crash programs for fusion and NASA’s Moon-Mars mission. Lyndon LaRouche put down this urgent revolution as one of his “four economic laws to save the nation” in a June 8, 2014 policy paper. And that is what it must be.
The Schiller Institute (SI) has posted on its website a 30-minute video, "Afghanistan: Fulcrum for a New Paradigm". This summary, from the Nov. 13-4 SI conference, contrasts the proposal of its founder, Helga Zepp-LaRouche, for an "Operation Ibn Sina", to take the lead in a humanitarian effort to save the children of Afghanistan from hunger and lack of a health care system, which results from the refusal of the U.S. to join with other nations to rebuild the country from destruction not caused by the Taliban, but by 40 years of a U.S.-directed war. Instead of cooperating in economic development, the U.S. is also at the forefront of the Great Reset, to establish a global central banker's dictatorship, and drumming up a new war, this time against Russia and/or China.
For 58 years, the "official" story of the JFK assassination -- that he was killed by a "lone assassin", Lee Harvey Oswald -- has been protected, along with the actual perpetrators, by classification of key documents, and a blizzard of lies from government and media. The same is true of Russiagate, and numerous other crimes committed by the intelligence community, on behalf of the global financial oligarchy which deploys them. President Trump promised full declassification, but did not achieve it. Now, Joe Biden has postponed release of the remaining JFK docs until December 2022. Today, DNI Haines is presenting new docs to NATO which purportedly show Russia is preparing to invade Ukraine! The veil of secrecy must be ripped off, before it is too late!
Today the Schiller Institute posted a 7-point call, issued by Guus Berkhout, President of the CLINTEL Group, which he presented November 14th, 2021 at the Schiller Institute conference, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Have To Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be the Immortal Species!” Below is the full text, which appears under the headline, “Message to the Young People at COP26: Dear Youngsters, Please Wake Up!” Please, don’t act like a parrot. Be critical against the many false prophets, who are trying to take advantage of you and set you up against the impressive progress your parents and grandparents have realized. Bear in mind that the information these prophets tell you is one-sided and misleading. Deepen your knowledge on the facts of our climate. By doing so, you will discover that there is no evidence that points to a climate crisis. Yes, climate change exists and it is of all times. But don’t worry, the current global warming is gentle (only ca. 0.14° C per decade) and it has already made many, many positive contributions to the quality of life. Do you know that the difference between the mean annual temperature in cold Finland and warm Singapore is more than 20° C. Yet, both these countries are most successful. Mankind is very clever in adapting to very different climates! Declaring current global warming of 0.14° C per decade a catastrophe is totally out of proportion. Think about that, while you are protesting. Did your teachers ever tell you that CO₂ is a blessing for everything that lives on our planet? Far from being pollution, CO₂ is the molecule of life, providing food for plants. Without plants there would be very little animal life and no human life at all. Think about that as well, while you are protesting. Don’t confuse climate change with environmental pollution! They are two completely different phenomena. Climate change is largely caused by the primordial natural forces and environmental pollution is largely caused by human behavior. Climate change requires clever adaptation measures and environmental pollution asks for clever clean production technologies. Please, don’t waste your life by solving a problem that does not exist. Instead, put all your talents and energy in developing a productive sustainable economy. Only then can you realize enough financial means to increase the standard of living beyond the basic needs. When you go back to the unproductive past and make yourself poor, you are no longer in control of your future! History shows that living on planet Earth requires adaptation all the time. If you continue to advance science and technology, you generate new capabilities to adapt to climate change, to protect our natural environment, to conquer the universe and to take care of one another. This is the formula for creating a better world. FINALLY, DEAR YOUNGSTERS, For all of you who have been poisoned by fear of what is to come, forget the dodgy preachers of doom and gloom at COP26; they ruin your future by destroying everything your parents and grandparents have built.
The manifest failure of the COP26 summit to get the entire world to drink the Kool-Aid of the British Empire’s Malthusian Green Reset policy—thanks principally to the resistance of developing countries such as India, Nigeria, Indonesia, China and also Russia—has bought the world a little time. But only a little. The entire trans-Atlantic sector is still in the throes of a systemic breakdown crisis. Hyperinflation is still spinning out of control, now hitting food as well as energy supplies with increases of 30% per year and more. The physical economy continues to plummet, threatening the survival of entire nations. The COVID-19 pandemic is still rampaging out of control, worsened by the mass psychosis of the medievalist anti-vax cult. And the danger of U.S.-NATO geopolitical wars against Russia and China is rising by the day, deploying nuclear weapons closer and closer to Russia while the State Department explicitly threatens to take up arms against China. “We have to have a rethinking,” Helga Zepp-LaRouche demanded in her weekly international webcast on Nov. 19. "The United States, Germany and other European countries should stop this geopolitical confrontation and say: ‘We have a pandemic, we have mass famine, we have a refugee crisis of biblical dimensions, and we must join hands and build the infrastructure, hospitals, schools, industry, agriculture, in all of these countries, and then all the migrants would want to go home.’ Because most countries, and most people prefer to stay in their home country, than to be displaced in some corner of the world, where they don’t understand the language and have to suffer many aggressions. “So let’s just build infrastructure! Let’s build up Africa!” Zepp-LaRouche insisted. “This is the natural thing, and the Chinese are doing the natural things and we should stop bickering about it, because we should take a moral lesson from the Chinese in this respect,” and join with the Belt and Road Initiative which this week celebrated the eighth anniversary of its announcement in 2013. Zepp-LaRouche continued: "People should wake up, because this is a moment in history when decisions will be made. Whether mankind tumbles into a new crisis, sleepwalks into a new war, goes into a new depression; or, if we take the alternatives which exist. And they emphatically exist in the form of the Belt and Road Initiative which, China has said many times, is open for every country: for the United States, for Europe, for all. “So rather than having this geopolitical obsession, I think people should just say: We have to concentrate on the common aims of mankind, and then we can all build a beautiful future together”—with the economic, political and cultural road map developed by Lyndon LaRouche, and presented at the Schiller Institute’s just-concluded conference of Nov. 13-14.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg was in Berlin yesterday to meet with German Chancellor Angela Merkel one more time before she retires, and to address the German Atlantic Association “NATO Talk” Conference 2021. During that speech he suggested, apparently in response to an audience question, that should the German government that’s expected to replace that of Merkel decide to opt out of NATO’s nuclear sharing program, then the estimated 20 B61 nuclear gravity bombs that are currently stored at the German Büchel air base could be moved to another country—closer to Russia. “Of course, it’s up to Germany to decide whether the nuclear arms will be deployed in this country, but there’s an alternative to this; the nuclear arms may easily end up in other European countries, including those to the east of Germany,” he said.Stoltenberg didn’t bother to venture a guess as to how Russia might respond to such a thumb-in-your-eye provocation. Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova responded to earlier comments by Stoltenberg demanding “transparency” from Russia. She branded NATO claims as ludicrous that the alliance observes Russia’s desire to use its force and military capabilities against neighboring countries. “I would like to remind the NATO secretary general that in modern history exactly NATO member countries have been a source of aggression that has claimed millions of lives. NATO’s militarism and imperial ambitions have triggered dozens of armed conflicts, devastated states and led to the plight of civilians and millions of refugees,” she asserted. “However, these things somehow do not concern the alliance and this bloc is not going to bear responsibility for its crimes.” Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko, whose portfolio includes Russia’s relations with Europe and NATO, again made it clear that Russia is prepared to talk and negotiate, according to TASS. Grushko pointed out that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s proposed post-INF missile moratorium remains on the table. “The President’s initiative on reciprocal moratoriums is still in force. Moreover, it has become more topical in the current conditions. And we are convinced that healthy forces, including within NATO, who see the pernicious effects on European security of the prospects for the turning of our continent into a Cold War-style arena of confrontation, will draw conclusions and finally demonstrate the political will for continuing the dialogue on this topic,” he said. “We have repeatedly said we are ready to negotiate all other aspects linked with the implementation of this initiative, including the use of transparency and verification mechanisms.”
This fall marks the eighth anniversary of the announcement by China’s President Xi Jinping, of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), when he announced the Silk Road Economic Belt in Kazakhstan Sept. 7, 2013 and the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road in a speech before the Parliament of Indonesia on Oct. 2, 2013. President Xi today addressed a symposium on the project, discussing in detail its many achievements and continuing intent, functioning as the modern-day Silk Road, for the common good of all.Helga Zepp-LaRouche, Schiller Institute President, and long known in China and internationally as the “Silk Road Lady,” for her advocacy of the concept, gave three interviews today, on the occasion of the BRI anniversary. She appeared on CGTN TV, in two interviews, one on Global Business, and another on the Dialogue Weekend program; and she was interviewed on her weekly Schiller Institute webcast, titled, “Most of the World Is Hungry for Change.” (See transcripts in this briefing.) Beginning in the early 1990s, she and her husband Lyndon LaRouche, promoted the idea of the “World Land-Bridge,” of development corridors. The latest books they issued on this were two volumes (2014 and 2018) of The New Silk Road Becomes the World Land-Bridge, along with Extending the New Silk Road to West Asia and Africa (2017). These presented details, region by region, for world economic development. In each interview today, she stressed the urgency for Western nations to rethink, and give up geopolitics and neo-colonialism, which have brought the world to the brink of nuclear war, worsening famine and persisting pandemic. Nations have been deliberately kept in poverty. These conditions, and induced strife, have produced mass migrations. She said on her webcast: “[W]e have to have a rethinking: Germany, the United States, other European countries should stop this geopolitical confrontation and say, ‘we have a pandemic, we have mass famine, we have a refugee crisis of biblical dimensions, and we must join hands and build the infrastructure, hospitals, schools, industry, agriculture, in all of these countries….’ So let’s just build infrastructure! Let’s build up Africa! This is the natural thing, and the Chinese are doing the natural things and we should stop bickering about it, because we should take a moral lesson from the Chinese in this respect.” President Xi Jinping reported that as of August 2021, some 170 nations had, in various ways, cooperated with the BRI. Now today, in terms of combatting the pandemic, 110 of these nations have received some of the 1.7 billion doses of vaccine. Zepp-LaRouche drew attention in her CGTN Global Business interview to the fact that the same principle is involved in what China calls its “Health Silk Road,” and what the Schiller Institute is campaigning for, in calling on nations to collaborate in building a world health system. This means facilities, staff, water, power, food, infrastructure. We have a moment of special opportunity now. A week ago in Glasgow, COP26 ended as FLOP26. It was a failure for its organizers—the gaggle of royals, banksters, billionaires and the like, who want nations to agree to commit suicide, in order “to save the planet.” A critical number spoke out against this in Glasgow, and their view was again restated yesterday in Abuja, Nigeria, by Foreign Minister Geoffrey Onyeama. He said simply, while standing alongside visiting U.S. Foreign Secretary Antony Blinken at their joint press conference that Nigeria is “a gas-producing country … and we’re looking to gas to help to address our energy needs.” So, he called on Blinken to do something to stop the international financial institutions from refusing to lend funding for fossil fuels development. Nigeria has the right to use its resources and develop. Now it is the time for all humanity to step forward and take the lead. Zepp-LaRouche replied to CGTN reporter Michael Wang’s question about her opinion of the BRI at a time of uncertainties in the world: “I think it is, for sure, the most important strategic initiative on the planet right now. Because you say ‘uncertainty,’ I mean, these uncertainties show, for example, in the form of a hyperinflationary tendency: You see the energy prices skyrocketing, food prices, and we may actually head towards a hyperinflationary blowout of the entire system. And at such a moment, to have the Belt and Road Initiative which focusses entirely on the physical side of the economy, can actually become the absolute important savior for the world economy as a whole. So I think the existence of the Belt and Road Initiative is the most important initiative on the planet.”
Following the failure of the Royal Family and the billionaires at COP 26 to force "voluntary" agreements to commit energy suicide by banning coal and other fossil fuels, the Schiller Institute laid out the means for reversing the descent into a new dark age, through LaRouche's Four Laws and a New Bretton Woods. Then on Tuesday, several western leaders, rather suddenly, initiated extremely important efforts to defuse the war danger, on the Poland-Belarus border, the Ukraine crisis, and the Taiwan crisis. Calls between: Putin-Xi, Putin-Macron, Merkel-Lukashenko ensued. Can we bring the world to safety?
A Tale of Two Universes: Post-Conference Evaluation of COP 26 andThe Schiller Institute’s “Immortal Species” Symposium Was last night’s eclipse of the Moon Nature’s way of characterizing the monumental failure of the lunatics gathered at the recently-deceased COP 26 Conference? As that concluded, the Schiller Institute instantly responded to and rejected the Glasgow gathering’s depraved indifference to humanity, as well as its pseudo-scientific lunacy, with a two-day conference on the theme: “Mankind Must Be The Immortal Species!” Four committees and a new campaign entitled “Operation Ibn Sina” were announced, the result of that conference’s two-day deliberations. To discuss the two alternate universes of proposed policies and actions represented by these conferences, as well as the rapidly changing international context expressed in the many discussions this past week involving world leaders, Harley Schlanger will begin with an overview, followed by other contributions.
Lyndon LaRouche spent a great deal of effort in addressing the question of how one can free others from accepting "Axiomatically Systemic Falsehoods", which are deliberately propagated to enslave the minds of citizens. One example of such lies is that military force can defeat terrorism. As Afghanistan demonstrated, this does not work. Why not return to the Principle of the Peace of Westphalia, which is to apply the "Golden Rule", as elaborated by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount, to statecraft? This ended the Thirty Years War in the 17th century in Europe, but was attacked by the Satanic Tony Blair in his drive for the war against Iraq, which led to a twenty-year war in Southwest Asia.
History making is a creative act. The civilization which survives and progresses is that which decides to break from the follies of the controlling modes of behavior which lead them toward their chosen doom, and adopt instead a new mode of thinking and acting which is in coherence with the laws of the known universe. As seen in the action of discovery of the scientist or artist, this act of leadership is not something limited to an “elite” or “chosen class”; as the founding of the American republic asserted, statecraft is a task, a duty, of the creative mind which lies, in potential, inside every human being, every citizen.Lyndon LaRouche asserted such in his 2002 writing, “The Historic Individual,” in which he said, “During each tragic moment of great crisis, every nation, every culture is gripped by the need for a sudden and profound change in its quality of leadership. Its survival then depends upon its willingness to choose a new quality of leadership which is typified by those extraordinarily exceptional individuals who stood, in retrospect like immortal souls, apart from, and above mere popular taste of their time. Throughout all the future history of mankind, as during the past, this presence, or absence of the determining role of the exceptional individual will always be, as it has always been, one of those milestones which mark those pathways of choice, toward either serenity or self-destruction, choices which close in on every culture at its moments of such great, self-inflicted peril as we face today.” It is that quality of potential leadership within the citizens themselves, as exhibited in a profound way in the four panels of the November 13—14 Schiller Institute International Conference, which will make the difference today between the end of civilization in a hyperinflationary breakdown and nuclear war, or, a righting of our moral ship to create a new paradigm of mutual development and progress. Developments on today’s political stage signal moves in both directions. As COP26 genocidalists call for the elimination of industrial development, and thus, the population, nations in Asia and Africa denounce the hypocrisy of the billionaire “jet set” and refuse to sign such a suicide pact. As the crisis as the border of Belarus and Poland threatens to escalate into general conflict targeting Russia, Merkel and Lukashenko speak for a second time this week about stabilizing the situation, pulling it back from the brink, and ensuring humanitarian aid for the thousands of people suffering in the freezing temperatures and terrible conditions. In Afghanistan, while ideologues call for the disgraced and obsolete NATO to come back in to “rebuild” the country, the “Troika-Plus” (Russia, China, the US, and Pakistan) meets in Islamabad to discuss the road toward stability in the region, and Russia leads the way by delivering its first shipment of humanitarian aid, 36 tonnes, which was guaranteed distribution to those in need by the Taliban government. What can and will determine our trajectory now is the assertion and intervention of the needed, big ideas upon which a new phase of civilization could be built. Such was seen in the intervention of a Schiller Institute representative into a discussion on tensions with China, when she raised the need for a Westphalian approach to solving conflicts on a higher plane. Such was seen, in force, in the presentations and dialogue of the recent Schiller Institute conference, of which video excerpts are being prepared to maximize and accelerate the intent, purpose, and impact of that extraordinary event. One excerpt in preparation will highlight the crisis in culture and education and Helga Zepp-LaRouche’s proposal for a resurgence of Classical education and culture worldwide, based on the best traditions and achievements of nations around the world. Such a program, though focused on the young, is the model for the kind of leadership required now, today, from each and every citizen as a creative contribution to ensuring the survival of our beautiful species. Lyndon LaRouche: “An adequate prospective leader for such a time of systemic crisis as today’s, must have devoted much of his, or her personal mental and moral development from childhood and adolescence on, to studying, and despising what prove to have been the systemic falsehoods which have become more or less generally accepted by peers, and also preceding and later generations. This impassioned awareness of widely accepted, implicitly axiomatic systemic falsehoods of assumption, as embedded in the customary practice of his, or her society, promotes in that young and maturing mind a disposition for emphasis on subject-matters pertaining to what Shelley identified as ‘profound and impassioned conceptions respecting man and nature.’” Be such a leader. Join our organizing efforts today.
The contrast between the flop of the Malthusians with the failure of their "climate summit", and the successful deliberation at the 2-day Schiller Institute conference demonstrates that there is an urgency in breaking with the present paradigm, and achieving cooperation among all leading nations. The dividing line is between Trans-Atlantic nations sticking with neoliberal, colonial policies, and geopolitical provocations, and those nations committed to cooperation for economic development. Helga developed this contrast, as it exists regarding all major crises, from addressing the humanitarian disaster facing Afghanistan; the crisis at the Poland-Belarus border; the COVID pandemic, which is surging through Europe; and dealing with hyperinflation, caused by the decision to bailout bankrupt corporations, rather than invest in developing new manufacturing centers at the frontiers of science. She called on viewers to join the Schiller Institute, at a moment when historical decisions are being made. The changes we have proposed will work; but, if these changes do not take place, the West will collapse, due to moral bankruptcy.
Four committees have been proposed by Helga Zepp-LaRouche as the springboard for a campaign of action for the advancement of proposals arrived at over the two-day Schiller Institute Conference of November 13th and 14th, “All Moral Resources of Humanity Must Be Called Up: Mankind Must Be The Immortal Species!” Those policies included: a “higher resolution” of the Afghanistan crisis, both the immediate danger of famine, and the longer-term integration of Afghanistan into a functioning “world land-bridge.” The initiative was named by Zepp-LaRouche “Operation Ibn Sina”; a “no limits to growth” science policy, expanding nuclear and thermonuclear energy production, consumption, research and development worldwide; a resurgence of classical education and culture through a modern “Convivencia” of Eastern and Western pedagogical methods, in the image of Leibniz’s proposal to establish an international string of collaborative academies; and a world collaboration to not only eradicate the danger of the coronavirus, but also to establish an international health platform, including clean water supplies and healthy food, and to extend the scientific boundaries of present-day biology, chemistry and physics in order to supply medicine with the necessary conceptual breakthroughs for the new requirements for diagnosis and treatment of disease so sorely revealed to be necessary in the wake of this still-evolving pandemic. These committees represent evolving, dynamic investigative processes, embedded in a rapidly shifting manifold of discontinuous but knowable change. For five decades, economist, statesman and thinker Lyndon LaRouche approached current history by applying a method of thinking, an epistemology, to the “hyper-geometry” of evolving political processes. In an April 1976 article entitled “Heuristic Application of the Higher Theory of Manifolds to the Current Strategical and Subsumed Tactical Situation,” Lyndon LaRouche sought to describe to his associates why “If one proposed to force existing governments to directly implement [a certain policy], the task must seem formally an impossibility. Yet, if the possibility for a rapid succession of intermediating developments is clearly understood, no such difficulty as initially appears to prevail stands in our way.” He said: “In any relatively short interval of development of a phase of society of a definite kind, a characteristic specific feature of that society, adducible from its mode of development, defines the approximate equivalent of a set of universal laws specific to that phase of that society. Consequently, in the experience of persons within that society, certain forms of activity as characterized by such rules, represent the effective measure of reality within that context. Consequently, certain features of life, so determined, have the significance of ‘fact’ under such conditions…. We might therefore properly term such ‘facts’ to be ‘practical facts,’ since their conditional validity is inseparable from the effectiveness of the kinds of actions they imply; they are called ‘facts’ essentially because the reactions they imply ‘seem to work’ within the framework of that phase of that particular society’s development. “Then, however, bring that society to a point of discontinuity, such as the present…. The society has reached the point at which it can no longer exist on the basis of the previously dominant sets of institutions. As a result, what worked as reactions to events in the past, no longer works. In a very meaningful sense, the laws of the universe have suddenly broken down insofar as relations within that society approximate a set of implied universal laws of social practice. Consequently, what was effectively a ‘fact’ in 1971 [now 50 years ago—ed.] is no longer a fact today.” At that point, the laws governing reality must change. Inversely, in LaRouche’s Dec. 19, 2004 essay, “The Dialogue of Eurasian Civilizations: Earth’s Next 50 Years,” LaRouche efficiently forecasted the next 50 years in front of mankind, 16 of which have now occurred. “Earth’s Next 50 Years” was, however, no mere “futurology.” It was a call to action, and “a call to (intellectual) arms.” The recently concluded two-day conference of the Schiller Institute, was a process within a process conceived in the image of that LaRouche-proposed 2005 strategy for global transition. The initiatives from the conference, including the creation of the four committees intended to act upon the crisis presented in the four panels at the conference, are embedded in a war for the soul of civilization. At COP26, the oligarchical despots that dared to declare that $130 trillion could be amassed from private capital in order to resolve a problem that did not exist—namely, the emission of CO₂ into the atmosphere—instead created an opening, a flank, which we must now exploit. By revealing that, were the will to do so present, trillions of dollars could be deployed for the purpose of eradicating poverty, famine, disease, and therefore, war itself, the international financial oligarchy made eloquently clear, to all those not so intimidated as to be unable to see it, their Malthusian, monstrous reality barely hidden behind the mask called “climate change.” The British expressed their displeasure at Joe Biden’s being unable to deliver what they desired for COP26, by allowing the Guardian to run a lengthy article about his apparent flatulence in the face of members of the royal family. How happy are they now, at the results of the 3-1/2 hour video conversation between Biden and Xi Jinping of China? Though the saber-rattling continues from the Pentagon and State Department, the two leaders have discussed matters, and Biden has insisted that he does not support, and that America does not support the idea of Taiwan’s independence. “One China” remains the official American policy. But the battle for a sane U.S.-China relationship is still inconclusive; a higher-manifold resolution must be supplied. The international political battlefield is fraught with danger, as can be seen in the back-and-forth border dispute between Poland and Belarus. Angela Merkel’s 50-minute phone call to Lukashenko has infuriated the Greens and other anti-Russian German and EU elements. Discussions involving France’s Emmanuel Macron and Russia’s Vladimir Putin have also sought to de-escalate the situation in Central Europe. Meanwhile, Ukraine was allowed to join EU efforts to help postpone the certification of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline by at least 6 months. The immediate consequence of this will be punitive inflation of gas prices—punitive to the citizens of Europe, as Russian representatives have pointed out. Nonetheless, why does, and will, every strategy advanced to destroy Russia and China, militarily or otherwise, only serve to significantly materially and politically destroy the Anglo-American “(shrinking) sphere of influence?” Why, in fact, must the failed but still-prevalent axioms of the international monetarist system, which died but was never buried in 2007-2008, ultimately destroy that very system itself, no matter what policy is now adopted in the short term? The reason is that the reality by which that system seemed to be governed, actually never existed; it was embedded in another, higher “manifold.” That is the manifold of physical economy which LaRouche illustrated through his “Triple Curve” heuristic graphic 25 years ago, depicting the insoluble, “explosive” contradiction between looting the physical economy and inflating the fictitious speculative monetarist bubble. There will be no admission by the “guardians of the establishment,” probably ever, that they have no idea what is actually going on. ECB President Christine Lagarde, for example, does not say that she was mistaken on how long inflation, that is, hyperinflation, will presently continue in the trans-Atlantic system. She simply says “it will last longer than we expected”—sort of like the coronavirus, now raging in Germany, Austria, and throughout Europe, as well as in Russia. Medical personnel in Austria have just warned that “war triage” could even emerge, if a completely new approach is not taken to confronting the truth of the character of the coronavirus pandemic, and to adopting the necessary public health measures and expenditures worldwide. Victory will also require breakthroughs in the sciences of biology, medicine, chemistry and physics, for which the inspiring figures of Louis Pasteur, Marie Curie and Ibn Sina, one of the greatest physicians in all human history, will serve as metaphors for the method of scientific higher hypothesis itself. “Hypothesis non fingo—”I don’t make hypotheses“—is the motto, known or unknown, conscious or instinctive, that dooms the leadership of the present time in the trans-Atlantic world. The”laws " and “facts” by means of which they have governed, no longer work. But, like the once-famous Wile E Coyote of cartoon fame, who keeps running off the side of a cliff without noting that he has actually left solid ground, the doomed, left to their own devices, only confront reality when it smacks them in the face. It is possible, however, as well as necessary, that the Schiller Institute’s commitment to the dignity of humanity, expressed through the anti-Malthusian resistance it has helped to spark as seen at Flop26, becomes the new hypothesis for action adopted by more and more people dedicated to make this higher, better world, not merely an intention, but a fact.
We are living through what Lyndon LaRouche described as a global systemic collapse, which affects every aspect of our lives. How did this happen? By looking at two case studies, we can get a sense of who is orchestrating the collapse: the energy inflation which has been caused by deliberate actions, related to the green financial bubble and the Great Reset; and the efforts by major media to deny any responsibility for their role in the regime change operation against Donald Trump which began in 2016. Tomorrow, we will present the LaRouche solution to the multitude of crises.
Three virtual discussions among leading officials in the last two days may be a sign that cooler heads have emerged, choosing diplomacy rather than war. The Biden-Xi discussion on Monday was followed by an hour-long discussion the next day between German Chancellor Merkel and Belarus President Lukashenko, and one between French President Macron and Russia's Vladimir Putin. Each one represents a change from what has been business-as-usual, leaving the realm of hostile narrative, in favor of substance. Though a promising start toward a change, the danger of new wars remains, as long as war hawks and neoliberals control governments and mass media in the Trans-Atlantic world.
As the British Empire licks its wounds over the failure of COP26, as Prince Charles and the western banking elite failed to force the developing nations of the world to commit suicide by shutting down their fossil fuels, several leaders of the western powers today took the most unusual—and most welcome—step of trying to pull back from the brink of military confrontation with Russia and China.U.S. President Joe Biden spent three and a half hours, until after midnight, in a virtual face-to-face discussion with President Xi Jinping, potentially pulling back from the saber rattling over Taiwan and collaborating in facing the world health crisis. German Chancellor Angela Merkel spent nearly an hour speaking with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko, undermining the war party’s campaign to hold a color revolution against the Belarus President and provoking military action on the Poland-Belarus border. French President Emmanuel Macron spent one and three-quarter hours on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin, addressing the migrant issue on the Belarus-Poland border, but also other hotspots, including Ukraine and Libya. In all three cases, the war party was not pleased, as you will see below. It is not a coincidence that these quite sane diplomatic initiatives take place at this time. The failure of the climate-disaster hoax in Glasgow was followed by an historic Schiller Institute conference on Nov. 13-14, which addressed real solutions to the existential crisis facing mankind today, with leading speakers from around the world demonstrating that: 1) the strategic confrontation pitting the U.S. against Russia and China is both insane and avoidable; 2) the hyperinflationary explosion now underway is intentional, but can be resolved with LaRouche’s Four Laws and a new Bretton Woods conference; 3) the notion that carbon causes global warming, justifying the destruction of productive economies worldwide while ignoring mass starvation in places such as Afghanistan and Haiti, is a conscious lie; and 4) the cultural disintegration into a new Dark Age of drugs, sexual perversity, and glorified violence can, and must be, reversed through a global renaissance, drawing on the greatest periods of every nation’s cultural heritage. President Biden assured President Xi that the U.S. does not want a Cold War, will honor America’s commitment to One China, and intends to maintain regular contact between “old friends.” President Xi, while appreciating such a retreat from the war provocations and economic sabotage of the past four years—including from the Biden Cabinet—hoped there would be “concrete actions” to back up the words. “The right thing to do is to choose mutual benefit over zero-sum games or the I-win-you-lose approach,” said the Chinese President. Global TImes reported that Biden made three promises: that the U.S. would not seek to change the Chinese system; that the U.S. revitalization of alliances would not be aimed at China; and that there would be no intentional clash with China. Taking a long view of history, as Lyndon LaRouche insisted throughout his life, Xi said: “The most important event in international relations in the coming 50 years will be for China and the US to find the right way to get along. History is a fair judge.” He called for the US and China to work together, especially in addressing the global health emergency. But the international crisis has not been resolved. The danger of global war is greater than at any time since World War II. The financial breakdown is accelerating. The COVID19 pandemic has doubled over the past two weeks, not abated. The drug scourge has doubled over the past decade, while mindless politicians across the US continue legalizing the poison which is destroying their children. Yet the introduction of beauty through Classical music, which opened each of the four panels of the Schiller Institute conference, is the language of the creative spirit which unites all mankind. The Schiller Institute is increasingly seen around the world as the platform for the “heavy” ideas and the universal search for truth and beauty, both in scientific investigation and in artistic expression, which can lead mankind out of this crisis to a new paradigm of a truly human civilization. If you have not already, take the time now to watch the conference here.
