Hussein Askary addressed a meeting of the Schiller Institute in Copenhagen, Nov. 11, 2023. Hussein Askary is the Schiller Institute's Southwest Asia Coordinator. Originally from Iraq, based in Sweden. Askary discussed the history of the current Israel-Gaza war, from the early 1900s to today, stressing the role the British Empire in playing both sides in the region. He highlighted the role of American statesman and economist Lyndon LaRouche and his “Oasis Plan” as early as in 1975, as well as the vision for the region to join the New Silk Road/World Land-Bridge.
