Nov. 7—These days, when we consider the candidates running for office, the question has not been do we actually support their policies, but would we at least stand a chance of surviving if they were to be elected to public office. A number of candidates that we recently felt might meet that minimum standard have since made war mongering comments that have caused us to question their commitment to any principles whatsoever.
This is why The LaRouche Organization is proud to announce our endorsement of Diane Sare in her campaign for US Senate in New York against Kirsten Gillibrand. It’s easy to find reasons why Gillibrand should be defeated, such as her unwavering support for Wall Street and the Military Industrial Complex, but more importantly, there are more reasons why we feel that Diane Sare must be the next US Senator from New York.
As the world stands on the brink of nuclear war, her consistent voice for peace through development has stood out. In her recently released statement condemning the growing genocide unfolding in Gaza done in our name, Sare dispensed with trying to take sides in this bloody conflict, and got right to the point:
“The point to be faced, urgently now, as war spills into neighboring countries and brings us rapidly closer to open warfare between nuclear-armed powers, is that the tragedy in which we are participants (until we stop participating), did not begin on October 7 with the Hamas attack, any more than the war in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022.
“These events were allowed to occur because We the People of the United States have, so far, squandered every opportunity to restore our nation to the principles under which we were founded, namely as a bulwark against the British imperial system.”
The LaRouche Organization sees Sare as an exemplary candidate for the following reasons:
- She has opposed the policies of endless wars, pointing out that these are merely the precursors leading ultimately towards a world war
- Instead of provoking tensions with Russia and China, she has called for the United States to cooperate with other leading nations to solve common problems facing the world, such as poverty, wars, and the scientific frontiers
- She is in favor of the original American System economic policies and promotes a return to actual industrial and technological growth
- She has opposed the legalization of drugs and instead favors a return to classical education to save our young people
In the same recent statement Sare states:
“We must recognize two points. First, the trans-Atlantic financial system is finished. The former British-liberal-imperialist-monetarist system is thoroughly bankrupt, and no amount of QE or QT is going to fix it. Second, a group of nations, led by China and Russia, as grouped in various organizations such as the BRICS-plus, the Belt and Road Initiative, and the Eurasian Economic Union have much more in common with the outlook of John Qunicy Adams than the United States at any time in the last 50 years.
“Recognizing that second point is the key to pulling ourselves back to sanity. Anyone who refers to China and Russia and any included nation as an “Axis of Evil” is a traitor to the cause of the American Revolution.”
We wholeheartedly agree and hope that Diane Sare’s candidacy will inspire a movement of other like minded candidates across the nation. We look forward to endorsing them in the future, but for now we only see one voice that has been consistent and unwavering even as many others have shrunk under the pressure of so-called “popular opinion” manufactured by the lying, corrupt news media.
The nation needs her voice to be heard.
