The Anglo-Americans Cannot Win, but We Must Ensure that We Don’t All Lose

June 20—The old unipolar world has already crumbled. Where do we go from here?

“Think about where we as mankind want to be in a hundred, a thousand years from now,” Helga Zepp-LaRouche said in a recent interview. “Do you really want, when we are building a village on the moon and then a city on Mars, ‘de-risking’ from each other? No, we will develop together and realize our potential as the only creative species known in the universe so far. From that perspective, the method of thinking behind ‘de-risking’ goes against the trend of history and of the laws of the physical universe.”

Anglo-American NATO is working hard to prevent itself from realizing the falsity of the delusion that it can prevent the rise of competitors Russia and China, and is willing to risk nuclear war in an all-out effort to get its way. “Today we are faced with a strategic situation far more dangerous than that at the height of the Cuban missile crisis,” states the Schiller Institute’s appeal to “the (Next) President of the United States.” And: “The world needs an American president who can see the best tradition in every nation, including Russia and China, as the basis for mutual trust and the basis for peace.”

As these words are being written, presidential pre-candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., is delivering a speech on the most important topic of our time: a peace speech in commemoration of the June 10 peace speech by his uncle, President John Kennedy.

In a morning tweet preceding the event, Kennedy commented that “In March 2022, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett traveled to Moscow to mediate between Putin and Zelensky. He extracted significant concessions from Putin. But then, he said, the U.S. blocked any deal. War was the plan all along.”

“I call upon President Biden to issue two apologies,” he stated. "First, to the American people for misleading them into supporting an ugly proxy war on false pretenses. Second and more importantly, to the Ukrainian people for maneuvering them into this war and ruining their country….

“We should heed the advice of John F. Kennedy in his 1963 Peace Speech….”

Former presidential pre-candidate Ron Paul also warns of the danger of escalation to nuclear war. “As we move into the U.S. presidential election cycle, one thing is clear,” he writes. “We desperately need a peace president to do for us what JFK did for the US during the Cuba crisis. Hopefully it won’t be too late!”

NATO, the EU, and US President Biden have acknowledged that Ukraine will not be officially joining the alliance any time soon, even as increasingly sophisticated weapons make their way to the Ukraine theater. Russian Defense Minister Shoigu warned that any attacks on Russia (including Crimea) by such new weapons systems as the US HIMARS and the UK Storm Shadow, would trigger immediate retaliatory strikes. And what will Russia do about nuclear-capable F-16s being supplied to Ukraine by NATO countries? “Since the Russians are unable to determine what kind of munitions the ‘Ukrainian’ F-16s will actually be delivering to the war zone,” explains Gilbert Doctorow, “they must assume that they are carrying tactical nuclear bombs intended to be dropped on the Russian Army troop concentrations. The effect of such an attack could be devastating, hence the Russian threat to the air bases from which such planes are launched.” Russia is further warning that Ukraine may still be pursuing the construction of a “dirty” bomb, capable of spreading dangerous levels of radioactivity over a wide area.

Meanwhile, as homelessness increases in the U.S. and inflation is out of control, a flood of legislation to stop China from buying up U.S. farmland is being pursued, as if looking for a way to let Wall Street off the hook.

There is no future in confrontation. Peace must prevail, of the form laid out by Helga Zepp-LaRouche in her Ten Principles of a New International Security and Development Architecture.

It Is Not Too Late to Avoid a ‘Doomsday Scenario’ in the Middle East

Even as Iran was counter-attacking with massive missile strikes against Tel Aviv today, in response to the early morning June 13 Israeli attack against Iran’s nuclear program and scientific and military command structure, an urgent and extensive policy discussion was underway among leading U.S. and international strategic analysts at the 106th consecutive weekly meeting of the International Peace Coalition (IPC).
