All of us are members of the same global community that is the human race, and it is our sacred birthright to live in harmony with all of our brothers and sisters around the world, learn from each other, and experience each others’ culture. The danger of a multipolar world is that it will turn into a balkanized world, with various blocks of nations separated by a new system of iron curtains erected by the regional hegemons, likely in concert with each other, to maintain this new status quo. In this segmented world, it is unlikely that proposals such as the late economist Lyndon LaRouche’s World Land Bridge will become reality. Is this really the best we can do? Around the world, we are starting to see the seeds of something beyond multipolarity.
