Feb. 22—A common thread underlies a span of events this week—from the “Rage Against the War Machine” rally in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 19, to the Feb. 21 Schiller Institute event on the urgent need to lift the sanctions on Syria, to the UN Security Council discussion of the Nord Stream explosions, to CGTN discussing with a Schiller Institute coordinator about the Nord Stream bombings, to Wednesday’s challenge to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries by José Vega, to Thursday’s Schiller Institute event on investigating the Nord Stream revelations in order to stop World War, to the upcoming anti-war, anti-NATO events this coming weekend Feb. 25-26 across Europe.
The LaRouche movement stands out in the world today for its consistent, committed efforts—day in and day out—to create and use flanks to prevent global nuclear war and put in place a new security and development architecture based on the true, beautiful nature of the human species.
Absent needed initiatives for change, the level of aggression will simply rise, as seen in the Munich Security Conference, and President Biden’s trips to Kiev and Poland, and the push from Liz Truss and Boris Johnson to ensure that tanks roll and jets fly to Ukraine. These lunatics threaten the entire world with exterminating nuclear war even as they grind up Ukraine’s military, infrastructure, and people, who are living as if under what is effectively a NATO occupation force.
The destruction of European industry and energy, the double-digit levels of inflation, the disruptions to global trade, the threat of nuclear winter—all these are worth the risk, say NATO leaders, in order to win an epic showdown with the world’s greatest nuclear power, seemingly all over the administration of a few regions of the eastern part of a country most people could probably not have identified on a map before a year ago.
The threat to the dying trans-Atlantic financial empire, and the alternative to the certain death that empire would bring about, is seen in the thirty years of work by the LaRouche movement to organize for a new conception of economic connectivity, a higher concept of development: the World Land-Bridge.
Exposing the truth of the Nord Stream pipelines can be an exit ramp from war, an opportunity to take a new path. Another opportunity will exist in the upcoming presentation by China of its proposal for achieving peace in Ukraine.
