Helga Zepp-LaRouche and Diane Sare: We Can and Must Restore the Mission of the Declaration of Independence—for All Nations

July 3—As you wake up on Monday morning, the 246th Anniversary of the American Declaration of Independence, please go to the website of the Schiller Institute to watch the “call to arms”—not military arms, but creative arms—issued on Sunday by the Schiller Institute’s Founder Helga Zepp-LaRouche and Diane Sare, who achieved “mission impossible,” defying efforts by the New York State Democratic Party, by achieving ballot status to run against perhaps the most evil member of the U.S. Senate, Chuck Schumer.

Following a video of the historic and sublime rendition of “My Country ’Tis of Thee” by Marian Anderson in 1939, standing before the glorious statue of Abraham Lincoln at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, before 75,000 people called to the event by Eleanor Roosevelt after the Daughters of the American Revolution had denied her the right to perform at Constitution Hall because of her race, and the National Anthem at the 1957 inauguration of President Dwight Eisenhower, Helga Zepp-LaRouche then issued a fervent appeal to the citizens of the United States to restore the “sacred principles” of the Declaration of Independence. Today, she noted, the nation has not only deserted these principles, but it is itself guilty of the crimes and abuses which the Founding Fathers had enumerated as those of the British Monarchy.

These abuses were institutionalized as the “Wolfowitz doctrine,” by Paul Wolfowitz, Dick Cheney and their fellow neo-conservatives and neo-liberals following the collapse of the Soviet Union—that the U.S. must rule the world, a “unipolar” world, based on the “special relationship” between the United States and the United Kingdom. This was not the America of the Founding Fathers, she said, but the model of Empire, now being imposed as “Global NATO” and “Global Britain,” openly dedicated to destroying Russia and China while the developing sector nations are subjected to Malthusian genocide, and the populations of the U.S. and Europe are reduced to pre-industrial levels of immiseration.

Mrs. LaRouche read a quote from Abraham Lincoln’s 1858 speech in Lewistown, Illinois, on the meaning of “all men are created equal,” as referring, indeed, to “all” Mankind, in America and worldwide. She referenced Franklin Roosevelt’s unfulfilled intention to free the former colonial nations from poverty through industrialization, and Lyndon LaRouche’s effort to restore that intention following the collapse of the Soviet Union, through a New Silk Road development process, ending the “East vs. West” imperial divide forever, to jointly overcome poverty worldwide. She recited a poem by Friedrich Schiller, Columbus, which concludes:

“Nature with Genius stands united in league everlasting;

What is promised by one, surely the other performs."

Diane Sare then asserted that her achieving the “impossible,” by gathering 60,000 signatures from New York State voters to get on the ballot for U.S. Senate, is just a foretaste of how Mankind must achieve the “impossible” by bringing about a new Peace of Westphalia. Our leaders are clearly just as mad as those before 1648, she said, when 150 years of warfare was destroying European civilization. The U.S. is now in a dark age, with mass shootings, legalized drugs, violence and perversity destroying the youth, and perpetual wars. The government is sending $40 billion in war matériel to a Nazi regime while the economy is collapsing across the Western world. She powerfully outlined the relatively simple means of reversing this, by applying the scientific measures developed by Lyndon LaRouche: expanding energy flux density through nuclear and fusion power, rather than returning to the dark ages with solar and wind power; developing the potential relative population density on Earth and in space through scientific and cultural progress.

Zepp-LaRouche concluded the Q&A by describing her choice of the U.S. Declaration of Independence as the model for the Schiller Institute’s November 24, 1984 Declaration of the Inalienable Rights of Man, since by making only slight changes it is applicable to all nations and all peoples. She asserted that when Lyndon LaRouche warned in 1971, following Richard Nixon’s trashing of FDR’s Bretton Woods system by taking the dollar off the gold reserve status, that this would lead to precisely the devastating collapse we are facing today, he made himself the enemy of the oligarchy.
