TLO Manhattan Project w/ Ray McGovern and Harley Schlanger — December 21, 2024
By Dennis Speed and Harley SchlangerThe significance of the Oreshnik missile deployment by Russia into Ukraine—in response to the U.S. supervising ATACMs missile launches into Russian territory—was made clear by President Vladimir Putin in his year-end press conference on Thursday, in response to a question about Western military “experts” claiming the Oreshnik missile could be easily shot down by missile defense systems:
“Well, if those Western experts you mentioned believe that, they should suggest to their employers in the West and the US to conduct a technological experiment. For instance, a high-tech duel of the 21st century. Let them identify a target in Kiev, concentrate all their air defense and missile defense systems there, and then we will strike it with an Oreshnik. Let’s see what happens. We are ready for such an experiment. Is the other side ready?”
Is that clear? Will the Anglo-American, Global NATO elites finally put down their arms and reach a negotiated settlement premised on the 2022 Istanbul talks which British Prime Minister Boris “Bo-Jo” Johnson famously intervened to stop? The answer is no, unless the populations in the trans-Atlantic world seriously think about the implications of Putin’s words, and act now to impart wisdom and courage to their elected representatives.
The LaRouche Organization has taken the initiative in the United States to mobilize for HR. 10218, introduced by Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) to “prohibit the transfer of Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) to Ukraine, and for other purposes.” We also call to your attention head of STRATCOM and Rear Adm. Thomas Buchanan, who told a conference at Washington’s CSIS think tank that the U.S. should be prepared to use nuclear weapons, if its global leadership is challenged.
As we approach the end of the year, consider the sanctity of your loved ones, and the human race, and act to ensure not just your momentary survival, but the durable survival, as Lyndon LaRouche once said in his paper, “In Defense of Common Sense.”
