The Russian Ambassador to the U.N. Nebenzia said on June 24 about the attack on Crimea, “The fact that the U.S. is directly involved in this crime is beyond any doubt.” This is an example of a British strategy, of provoking a game of "nuclear chicken" to force Putin to back down (the May 2022 "Crimea Missile Crisis" proposal of Royal United Services Institute).
